Impressive four-finger head. Extensive, chunky rings of lace. The liquid is cloudy with a straw color.

Light, soft malt nose with a touch of floral hop. A touch of prickliness.

Very smooth beer even though the body is only lightly rich. Moderate, but fine, carbonation bubbles. The taste starts clean with an almost pilsner quality. The hop is solid but nowhere near overwhelming like some IPAs. In fact, the aftertaste starts balanced and becomes more bitter as it lingers.

Overall, this is a beer where I would not only drink a second one, I would seek it out.

Pale, straw colored brew with a foamy, white head that diminished quickly. Streak lacing. The aroma is citrus, lemon and orange, with fruit, &with hints of grain and herbs. Flavor is light, almost like a hoppy lager. Smooth, with just a hint of hops bitterness in the dry finish. Not a bad beer, but I'd rather drink the pale ale from SN any day.

Served from bottle into glass at home. Pours straw in color, high clarity, with surprisingly creamy white head. Strong unique hoppy aroma, mostly lemon or citrus with some fresh herbal character. Bright zippy flavor that follows the aroma, citrusy and herbal hops. Some acidity and practically no maltiness. Low bitterness. Medium high carbonation, thin mouthfeel and a dry finish. Overall an interesting light bodied IPA with mostly citrus hop aroma and flavor that seems like a fusion of a citrus focused American IPA with a traditional German wheat beer.

12 oz bottled 2/14/17 poured at fridge temp. Golden to straw colored with minimal white head. Great lacing as the beer is consumed. Smell is fresh orange and grapefruit with a hint of citrus rind thrown into the mix. Taste is more of the smell, never overly bitter and well balanced. Mouthfeel is above average with a nice softness and presence from the wheat malt. Overall, very good. A bit better that some trendy, smaller brewery IPAs that I've had lately and a much better value.

Pale gold with one finger of white head. Some rings of lace.
Smell is floral citrus hops with some bready malts.
Taste is floral orange grapefruit zest citrus hops with an appropriate amount of bready malts.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with good carbonation. Finish is light dry and mildly bitter.
Overall a tasty brew that would be a good spring or summer beer.

First, I'm generally a fan of SN; they were in the game when few others were. SNPA is one of my go to beers and I still think Torpedo is, dollar-for-dollar, one of the best IPA's out there. This Beer Camp 2017 Golden IPA, however, doesn't impress. While hop-forward (a good thing), the taste isn't particularly flavorful or complex. I keep waiting...and...not much happens. Tastes as if they took a PBR (which I have respect for!) , amped it up with some hops, and, voila, 2017 Golden IPA. Will I keep buying their beer? Of course. Just not this one.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thick foamy head. Head retention and lacing are both very good. Citrus aroma with piney hop and a touch of malt. Very juicy citrus taste with a good piney hop character. Lemon and grapefruit with some grainy maltiness at the end. Mild astringency. Lighter bodied with moderate carbonation. I must say that I enjoy this one.

Light banana yellow color with white cap and good lace.

Not much aroma, just hints of light citrus hops with floral aspects and piney overtones. Little malt or grain presence.

Taste is bright as Spring Sun light and light as Spring air. No kidding, Coors Light has more flavor. Not as clean, bright and spritely as this brew but more nonetheless. Hops are almost juicy, and are clean, round tasting, but resolve into a slightly sharp bitterness in the aftertaste.

Texture is light - medium in the light wheat brew sense.

Well, if they wanted to make a brilliant Spring time beer they succeeded. Unfortunately this tweener doesn't have much going for it, just a light wheat brew flavored with hops. I didn't come to see a ball kicked around, I want to see a score.

A: Moderate hoppy citrus and light tropical fruit notes, with a touch of malt.

A: Bright gold color, great clarity, with a frothy white head with solid retention and lots of lacing in the glass.

T: Moderate hoppy citrusy and tropical fruit flavors, slight resin, light toasted malt, with a moderately light hop bitterness and dry finish.

M: Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Tasty; the beer has an interesting citrusy aroma and flavor, while still containing a touch of Sierra's classic malt profile to remind you that while the beer might be a different color with a slightly different aroma and flavor profile, you're still drinking Sierra.

Beer Camp: Golden IPA (2017) | Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this beer's head is two fingers thick, with webbed lacing, and a clear non-surprisingly golden body.

Smells slightly sweet, yet still containing that hop "bite".

I taste a bitterness more akin to a session IPA, but I can still notice the 6.5% abv contained within.

Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

Overall, I'll give Beer Camp: Golden IPA (2017) | Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. a 4.5. A near-perfect blend of light, yet still good hop flavor without sacrificing the buzz.

Something missing in the end but fresh, wet, refreshing - yes.

A: Pours a clear pale yellow body with a three finger tall rocky, foamy white head that reduces rocks, islands, surrounded by lace cascade.

S: Moderate aromas of bready, wheat malts with loads of citrus, orange, earthy, and floral hops.

T: Upfront follows aroma, with bready wheat malts followed by sun kissed, earthy, grassy, floral, and citrus, orange hops then peppery bitterness. Nice fresh flavor profile.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Flavor bomb, fresh, pilsner like. Wet and happy brew.

Citrusy and floral with a pale malt and soft flaked wheat backbone, Golden IPA is a beer that will please the casual drinker but won't live up to the potential of its premise; it's highly drinkable and it's impressive that Sierra Nevada can brew this at this scale, but it won't dazzle the discerning drinker and offers little in terms of interesting hop character.

Well-built, with average flavour intensity and duration.

Depth of flavour and intricacy are wanting, but it's not badly executed for what it is and I do like it.

A drinkable brew from a brewery which rarely strives for more, Golden IPA will satiate those accustomed to this brewery's output but will fail to impress those who have had better. Safe work from a brewery which always plays it safe, and well worth trying, but it won't spark your interest.

A: Pours a golden color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap

S: Citrus and grassy hops up front along with a wheaty malt background

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with some citrus and lightly grassy hops and goes into the wheat and a light sweetness. Bitter throughout. Finishes with lingering citrus rind and light bitterness

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A nice wheaty IPA. The bitterness is a bit astringent at times and can hinder the drinkability. Solid for a couple, though

Bottled at 21:29 on 1/31/17

Poured into a stein.

A: Pale yellow, slightly hazy. Big carbonation the rushes to the surface. Finger of bleached head.

S: Big citrus notes. Orange, lemon. Malt backbone is pretty minimal. Big citrus hops as advertised.

T: Light and crisp. Again, big pops of citrus leap from the glass. Also notes of lemon oil or citrus soapiness. Finishes very dryly and abruptly. I read that el dorado hops are used, and it shows. Definitely carries that distinct "orange candy" flavor. Aftertaste is more soapy dryness than resinous.

M: Light for the style. Carbonation is ample, which is great. Very refreshing on the palate with a dry, quenching finish.

O: I love this beer. Just big blasts of citrusy goodness on a very light malt backbone. Some will decry it as one dimensional, but I don't care. Tastes akin to shandy without all the sugar. Possible lawnmower beer?

L: Had this beer on-tap at Gene's Haufbrau, poured into a pint glass. Had a bright golden yellow color and a clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.

S: A sweet, enticing aroma of hops, a little malt, citrus, and other tropical fruits.

T: Tasted of a hint of earthy malt, a lot of citrus notes (lemon, in particular), a big pile of hops (not too much, though), and a lot of different tropical fruits, like mango, and passion fruit. An extremely sweet, fruity flavor, with a lot of hops. Well balanced and flavorful.

F: A solid amount of carbonation with a somewhat slick finish. Light-bodied.

O: This is an extremely light and likable IPA. Would be a great beer for the summer months.

Beer Camp: Golden IPA (2017) brewed by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., with an 6.50% ABV. This brew pours out a nice cloudy amber color, with a nice white head. This head of this brew is about two finger thick. There is also a decent amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with hops, and earthy , malts, and grains. The look and smell of this brew is really inviting . Now for the taste, it is bold with hops, grains and malts. There is a lot going on in this brew. It is really hard to pick up the 6.50% ABV in this brew, it goes down that smooth. The body of Beer Camp: Golden IPA (2017) is a nice solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this IPA, it has a super nice balance to it. The mouthfeel of Beer Camp: Golden IPA (2017) , Rich, Bold, Hoppy Clean and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving Beer Camp: Golden IPA (2017) a 4.25 out of 5. I would defiantly look this brew up again. If you are looking for a nice milder IPA look this one up . Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., did a real nice job with this brew.

A very citrusy IPA with a very low bitterness. Taste more like an American pale ale to me. A nice Summer beer that is crisp, citrusy, and easy drinking.

Pours a clear, yellow color with about two fingers of white head that leaves a little lacing on the glass. Smells of lemon, bread malts, and citrus. Tastes of tropical fruits, crackers, and a little bit of wheat. Medium body, just enough carbonation. Finishes fairly cleanly. Overall it's solid, the wheat is interesting but works.

Bottle poured into a Sierra Nevada Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours appropriately golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces quite well.

S: Bright tropical fruit, pine, citrus, crackery malt, and a little wheat twang.

T: Tropical fruit, pineapple, passion fruit, white peach, resinous pine, citrus, lemon and grapefruit zest, crackery malt, and a little wheat twang.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Wheat brings an interesting twang to this one, but it works. Nice bright IPA.

Awesome beer but not the BEST so to speak. But what else could I ask for from this relatively inexpensive beer all the way in Texas? AWESOME wheaty malt backbone smell and taste. Golden semi opaque pour, kind of reminds me of a hefeweizen or belgian yeast. Dedent amount of hops in it, mostly citrus and Americana I believe, I'm no expert but this is still a reallt drinkable beer. I downed 4 or 5 and I made an entire EP for my band, mixed it and posted onkine with adverttisements everything. Such a clean buzz. I love this beer! It's not world class but it's affordable, good, and different. And it's made by Sierra Nevada. Much love.

the look is a hazy golden color with a two finger head. The smell is of citrus with an orange and pineapple with slight malt. The taste is of pineapple, mango, orange and slight lemon. The feel is of medium body not too heavy but not too light. It goes down very smooth. I think this is a great beer. Cross between ipa and apa, very smooth and not too bitter but just slightly bitter. Everything blends together nicely with lots of citrusy hops slight bitterness and very smooth for a 6.5.

A very light IPA. Usually that would be an insult for me, but this is just an all out refreshing beer. Golden color, nice head, citrusy aroma. A nice crisp drink with a bit a little bite, more like a nip. You get a great citrus hint in the taste, but those lightly roasted malts shine through. Seriously can't wait for summer, this is a great barbeque beer, also is going to be perfect for a day mowing the lawn or lawn work in general.

Summery. Citrusy. Hoppy. Yummy. All are fair characterizations of this very decent "Golden" style IPA. I this is lighter, thinner, and a bit sweeter than the IPA styles I generally prefer, but this will earn a return visit come warmer weather.

Pours a slightly cloudy gold color, nice bubbly head. Aroma is bright and fruity. Taste is crisp and citrusy with a pineapple note. Mouthfeel is a little oily. Finishes nice and clean, pleasant lingering aftertaste. This is a balanced, full flavored IPA, another hit from SN. Thanks for bringing this one out, I'd buy it regularly.
