We cast off centuries-old tradition to blend the crisp finish of a German-style pale with the bold hop character of an American IPA. We’ll ask for forgiveness later.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a slightly hazy golden-yellow with a one-finger creamy white head that reduces to a film floating on top
S- spicy German hops with some fruity berry-like elements. Undertones of Kolsch yeast and toasted malt
T- spicy-peppery hops up front give way to some red berry elements, as well as some lemon rind. Mid-palate gives some grassy elements, as well as toasted malt. The finish is dry and yeasty with a linger of fruity hops
M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish
O- pretty spot on from the description, a little more balanced than a typical American ipa with high drinkability

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz bottle on July 29, 2017. Brewed with German hops and Kolsch yeast. Look is gold. Smell is fruity. Taste is moderately bitter.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Smells of sweet grain and slight citrus. Tastes of sweet grain, slight wheat, and very slight citrus. Beer is light bodied and very drinkable, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 12/15/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, melon, berry, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of earthy/spicy hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, melon, berry, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, melon, berry, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of earthy/spicy hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.1%. Overall this is a delicious English IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of earthy/spicy hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Nice showcase of German noble hops with restrained Kolsch yeast character; and nice bready malt backbone for balance. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

355ml bottle poured into a pint glass.
It pours a translucent bright golden yellow liquid with thick frothy white head that withstands with pretty good retention before slowly subsiding to a long-lasting bubble patch on the surface and leaving some lacing on the glass-side.
The aroma is led by fruity hop of lemon peel, lime, citrus, sour berry, as well as herbal and spice that is most likely from the German hops. Malt at the same time provides its bread and biscuit to support.
Fruity hop also covers the taste buds with its lemon peel, lime, citrus, and sour berry together with notes of spice and moderate herbal bitterness. Malt is in the supporting providing its some sweetness, bread, and biscuit in the undertone.
The body is between light to medium with quite smooth mouthfeel and rather crisp yet pretty well lively carbonation. The feeling is refreshing with a typically dry finish.
Very fruity and sour forwards IPA with modest bitterness to balance, the German hops here provide their trademark notes of herbal and spice.

From the 4-Way IPA 24 pack. I had 5 of these already and I wish dearly this were not the last, but I cannot find this collection anymore around here. Into a pint glass...
L: The bottle sports nice colors, as they complement the beer. It pours a golden tinged amber orange with a faint beige tinted head that lingers as a swirling film. Lacing makes hearts and angry faces.
S: Raspberries, mango, pineapple, orange, lemon, papaya, sourdough bread.
T: I haven't seen many brews (or wines for that matter) whose description matches the flavor profile. This absolutely does. I taste the raspberry. I taste the lemon. First papaya, then big raspberry, lemon, pineapple, orange, and pine. Dank pine. It's probably those cascade hops that SN loves.
F: Clean, smooth, a little bit creamy, but tangy and sharp. A good dose of bitter. Clingy like glass. Thin for my taste. But it's a 6.1% abv.
O: Delicious. Raspberries are my second favorite fruits and lemons are my first. An excellent tart IPA. Idk how German it is, but it's freaking delicious.
