Look: Pale golden and hazy with many small bubbles that forms a head that quickly disappears

Smell: Incredibly aromatic green apples, lemons, and grass. The aroma is quite nice and probably the best thing about this beer.

Taste: Cloyingly sour, in a way that prickles the tongue. More like lemon juice with a green apple backing.

Feel: The sourness is very sharp on the tongue, and isn't really balanced out by any sweetness which is the weak point of this beer. It does leave behind a finish of tart berries, maybe blackberry and a pleasant crackery taste.

Overall: Just very strange, maybe I'm not used to the Weiss style but I'm surprised anyone would like something this sour. And I'm actually a fan of Sierra Nevada's Otra Vez too. To me, this beer kind of lacks depth and body and its sourness is a one trick pony. Too sour for my liking.

Pale golden straw (SRM 3) with a fluffy half inch head that lasts a minute. No lace forms on the Browary Lezaisk Weisen glass, while modest sized random carbonation bubbles within the clear beer.

The aroma opens with apple juice and modest bay brine. Warmth brings out lemon/lime, straw, and freshly crushed grapes.

The flavor is tart top to bottom. Green apples lead to light sweetness and a hint of bitterness. Kiwi and lemon come out from middle to end. The finish is long and lemony.

There is a surprising hint of alcohol in this very dry beer. The texture is that of itchy nylon, while the body is medium with fizzy carbonation.

This beer served well after a long day of chores on a cool mid-summer afternoon. I imagine it would work equally well on a hot day with friends.

A: a bright medium yellow, with a white head that rapidly disappears.

S: mildly tart with citrus notes and some earthy funk.

T: tart and sharp with citrus notes, and the earthy funk providing some interest.

M: thin, crisp, and fairly high carbonation, with a dry finish.

O pretty darn tasty, reminds me of SN's Pyro vez.

PKGD 04/18/17, it pours very hazy yellow gold color with a 2 finger foamy white head that was packed with tiny bubbles, fading on the average to just slower than average side that leaves good foamy lacing rings as it goes down. Seems average to above average for the style from what I'm reading.

Smells of wheat, cranberries, yeast, sour fruit, lemon zest, Tang instant breakfast drink, orange peel, barnyard funk, stale old clothes from the Salvation Army, grains and a lot of earthy notes. There is a sweetness element, but the nose is mostly dry wheat and the accenting grain and yeast cultures.

Tastes better than it smells with some stronger lemon and orange peel, tart green apple, sour white grapes, dry yeast, melon, floral hops, wheat, dry grass, hay, a cranberry-like acidity, floral hops and flowery notes. This brew is very complex in a way that shifts from puckering-ly sour to dry and grainy to hoppy to tart to funky, all within a few sips. It's an interesting style but I don't find it refreshing and the true lack of hoppy flavor would limit my consumption of this. I appreciate the style effort, but I would not revisit even though it's a well crafted beer.

Picked up as part of the World Camp pack for $2.09 average cost. Bottled in April 2017.

Beer poured golden with a nice white head with the initial pour.

Nose is lemony forward and not much else.

Taste was lemon tart forward balanced well by a generous hopping.

Mouthfeel is light and refreshing.

Overall not bad for a rare foray into the sour world. Definitely reminded me of the sweet tarts i ate as a kid.

one of the better beers in the box, truly. the hops in this one, instead of distracting from the key idea of the beer, or feeling like the mandatory sierra nevada insertion into the mix, make perfect sense, and really sort of make the beer what it is. one of the hoppier beliners i have had actually, and it works on every level. the beer has some haze to it, is super heady, and has a very clean lacto souring profile, not super acidic, but really tidy, lemon juice and tang is all. not too sour to drink a bunch of too, which really helps me like this more, its an all day kind of beer, refreshing acidity and no more. the hops have heavy melon, citrus, and earthy notes, they really brighten this up but also ground it, and linger longer than any other element does in the finish. an extraordinary freshness, tangerine and flowers and lemons, puckery but barely, really crisp and dry in the end too, despite the wheat malt being quite assertive throughout. a clever beer, a well made recipe, and the hops add a lot to this one. where they were a distraction or even a nuisance in other beers in this series, they really define this one in a good way. one of the best in the lot!

Nose is a lightly tart, with a touch of lemon and citrus.
Taste is more tart than I'd expected. Complemented nicely by orange / lemon and peach / pear hop character. Finished with a lingering touch of wheat.
Light, crisp body. Carbonation is on the higher side.

I think I can sum up the review of this beer in one word: TART...or maybe SOUR...and I am no fan of sours...

The beer looked good in the glass and even had a nice balance of sweetness, tartness, and hoppiness. Outside of that, I just didn't care for it. Way too carbonated, the astringent character just made it even worse. The taste reminded me of a sour I recently had, which came very close to being my first drain pour ever - this wasn't that bad, but it reminded me of that experience. Overall, I will grant it's not a bad beer, I have no doubts there are those out there that will love this, but for me, it's a pass and I'm glad I most likely won't ever cross paths with this aberration ever again.
