I picked this up at Atlantic Liquors in Rehoboth Beach DE. Poured chilled from the stubby 12oz into a mug.
A - A cloudy pale amber w/ more golden hues at the edges w/ 2 1/2 fingers of bone white w/ a small bead. Good lacing appears and clings on the sides of the glass
S - A crisp wheat nose w/ mild floral and subtle sweet odors w/ hints of citrus fruit
M- crisp, again I know, but in texture w/ mild sweetness and high carbonation and somewhat light medium body w/ a clean dry finish
T - A great fresh taste of wheat w/ mild malty nuttiness and crisp citrus undertones, mild lemony flavor w/ a hint of hop in the pepper-like background. Very malt forward in the residual taste w/ creamy wheat flavor and mild floral hop w/ nutty wheat as the last sips w/ subtle tang of yeast.
D - I found this to be refreshing, flavorful and balanced w/ clean flavors and could be the best American Pale wheat I have had, Unfortunately it is no longer made.

Comes in sturdy like it isn't just yellow, there is some auburn running up in this. Decent clarity for a wheat beer. Smooth up in ya like the Bullet Boys. 1/2" white head. Aroma dropped a seriously fruity yeast like a steam lager in here with ample wheat.
Mild earthy hop quotient, mild nuttiness with the wheat presence, like that bread with all the sunflower seeds and shit in it. One of the more underrated summertime beers back in the day.

This was my absolute favorite beer from Sierra Nevada. I still have a couple stored away, never to be had again, but to create a memory to hold onto.
What has always been my favorite wheat beer, this was far superior to their current filtered wheat (Old Chico Crystal Wheat).
I'm longing for the day that Ken and Brian decide to bring this one out of retirement, even if just for the Chico community. One can dream, right?
