DATE: September 29, 2018... OCCASION: #4 OSU at #10 PSU in a white-out game--need something to calm the nerves and not weigh me down with alcohol... GLASSWARE: Hobgoblin pint... from a 19.2 oz. tall can, pours a hazy, sallow golden body teeming with bubbles that develops a sudsy, bubbly off-white head... first breath yields lemon, grapefruit, flowers, mild spiciness, tea leaves, and hints of resin... the aroma suggests a beer that has something to offer in a drinkable weight... crushable as advertised, its body is smooth, fervent in its hops-forward promise and lively at the teeth.... sweet, hoppy, with enough resin to evoke an IPA... lemon, lilac, lemon grass, cracker, and tea make for a varied experience... this one packs enough flavor into what tends to be a rinser of a style...

Look: yellow with an inch thick white head
Aroma: biscuit, mild grassy hops
Taste: the flavor is biscuit, a bit sweet, a bit of lemon, and a bit of grassy bitterness toward the end. Fairly mild flavor.
Body/Overall:light to medium body, very easy drinking. It is pretty simple but when you're thirsty it goes down.

Got it on sale at costco as part of a case sized sampler. Worst of the set. Piss yellow. Fast head that quickly evaporates and overly hoppy with aftertaste that thankfully dissipates quickly. IMHO the other high scores appear to be solely because it's brewed by SN. If you love this and bash a macro you're clearly rating this on the SN name. Meh, will not go out of my way for this again and will drink if only brew available.

Sessionable hoppy blonde ale, citrusy hops, wheaty grain, floral, earthy herbal, piney dankness

Blonde with a big, wispy white head. West coast hops feature grapefruit/pine in the aroma, best aspect of this beer. Flavor is dry-hopped lemon water. Sour/lemony, subdued bitterness, just the slightest hint of sweet malt is there, but its hard to find. Refreshing, like fizzy lemon water.
Overall, decent hot weather beverage that lacks much beer character. Id prefer a bit more sweet malt to balance things out. But could easily pound a few ice cold on a hot day.
