Notes / Commercial Description:
Brewed with a double-barreled blast of Magnum hops and lupulin dust.

Hops are the name of the game with a Double IPA, but we knew we had to take it one step further. With Hop Bullet, we’re using a new technique, hitting the beer with a double-barreled blast of Magnum hops and lupulin dust—pure, concentrated hop flavor—directly into the tank to emphasize the intense pine and citrus flavors of classic West Coast hops.

ENDING GRAVITY: 2.4° plato
YEAST: Ale yeast
FINISHING HOPS: Centennial, Cascade, Chinook, Magnum, Crystal
MALTS: Two-row Pale, Wheat, Dextrine, Chocolate, Acidulated

Delicious DIPA with a sweet malt profile that compliments and balances the hops nicely. Worth seeking out.

This beer was the best tasting that I had ever had for its alcohol contents. It was as if I had drink 2 12 packs of the original Sierra Nevada in my personal opinion.

A very tasty, well-balanced IPA with a nice finish. This is one of my two current two favorite beers. If you like Founders All-day-IPA you will love this more flavorful and heavier duty version. After a bottle of this, nothing else tastes good.

Love it alot. I have never written a review before so here goes. I love this beer and was wondering how to get sponsored. I love the crisp hoppy taste of hop bullet double ipa. It makes me feel good and it is invigorating. Just wanna say how good the beer tastes and feels. It smells good too especially when it is freshly opened and it smokes a little. Overall I love hop bullet double ipa laguanitas.

clean copper color
Taste was great nice and hoppy with a bitter finish that lasted forever. The head on this one stayed throught the whole beer. Will revisit this one for, glad its in 12 packs.

Hop Bullet has a thick, white head, a semi-clear, sediment-filled, orange-gold appearance, with heavy glass lacing. The aroma is of sharp, piney hop resin, with sweet, white bread. Taste is of sweet, white bread crust, hops oils, and load of bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Hop Bullet finishes mostly dry.

Appearance is golden amber with a medium head
A beautiful complex hop aroma is alongside a mild but delicious malt
The taste flushes your mouth with hops, malt and alcohol in the background
this is a heavy IPA you want to chug, an awesome beer.

Not super crazy about Sierra Nevada in general - I will certainly make an exception for this one. This is how a double IPA oughta be. It's crisp, clean, has a good punch, yet balanced all the way through. It's like Lagunitas little sumpin' with a kick. I definitely taste the hops, some citrus, some piney notes, and very balanced bitterness. Overall, you oughta give this a shot.

Sierra Nevada is one of my "go to's" for IPA, and this one doesn't disappoint. At 8%, it has the alcohol, but the piney, grapefruity notes with mild carbonation make it go down easy.

Why can't Sierra go wrong? Because they are brewing with the best materials, best craftmanship, best recipes and with a passion like nobody else. Their approach, besides Stone, is one of the best out there, IMHO.
Because here they come with a Spring edition, this Hop Bullet and you know that you can expect excellent quality, outstanding aromas and a pleasant brew. Well that's exactly what you get!
What makes this beer great is the perfect blend of the best US hops and the perfect, almost "creamy" smooth mouthfeel. The hops create an aroma that is so enticing that you immediately lured and feel that you just can't get enough. A combination of resin, pine, fruits and some sweetness, simply an enthralling experience! And the icing on the cake is how it is made: very soft, natural carbonation, smooth to an extent that you feel like you're drinking honey dew. I'm amazed by this beer but not amazed by Sierra: they are simply one of the very best in the World! A truly great beer!

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of white head that settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A very juicy and dank hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus and pine. Big citrus scent of orange peel, grapefruit, mango, tangerine, melon, and lemon with pineapple. Earthy hop scent of pine resin, grass, and cannabis. Malt hints of grains, and cracker with some yeast. A really good ripe aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a very juicy and piney hop driven taste with notes of citrus and pine. Upfront juicy citrus hop notes of orange, grapefruit, mango, tangerine, melon, passion fruit, and lemon along with some pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine resin and grass. Background malt notes of cracker, grains, and biscuit along with yeast. A very good juicy taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, oily, and drying.

Overall: A really good West Coast IPA. Big dank citrus presence.

A great alternative to torpedo. This beer doesn't effect my mental stability like a couple of torpedoes does. Has an earthy hoppy taste with a nice finish. A very nice taste with a hint of bitter hop.

12 oz bottle "packaged 12/6/17" in SN Imperial Hop Tulip
pours a barely hazy amber gold with a creamy white persistent head.
nose is mostly citrus with a bit of malt
sharp grapefruit citrus taste that mellows to reveal a nice bready, yeasty flavor with a hint of pine in the back
nice creamy smoothness on the tongue and finishes subtly fruity sweet
OK ... Sierra Nevada is my hometown brew so I'm a fanboy, but this is right up there for me ... love it!

A beer for every hop head to try but the finish is almost too bitter. One of the best smelling beers.
