Brewed with a double-barreled blast of Magnum hops and lupulin dust.

With Hop Bullet, we’re using a new technique, hitting the beer with a double-barreled blast of Magnum hops and lupulin dust—pure, concentrated hop flavor—directly into the tank to emphasize the intense pine and citrus flavors of classic West Coast hops.

A very, very good IPA. It is what a double IPA is supposed to taste like. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this beer...it is really good...but, at the same time, it doesn't have anything super special that makes it really stand out.

Hop Bullet pours a clear golden orange with a small ½ finger foamy looking head that lingers depositing some sticky lacing. Smell is up front floral with a bit of banana ester, based on the hops used, very little citrus or pine aroma. Taste has a malty base that is slightly sweet with just a hint of citrus and a very mild hop resin that seems to linger leaving a heavy bitterness on the palette. Nothing special about a mass produces craft beer, living in CA there are much better DIPA offerings available.

Looks hazy apricot/ hay color. Nice creamy/foamy head which dissipates quickly. Leaves lacing on glass. This is sort of strange but I can detect almost no smell. Poured into a Spieglau IPA glass which is suppose to concentrate scents. Just mild ,(very) . Taste is slight melon, hop bite, clean finish. I think this beer is definitely worthwhile. The almost total lack of smell is disconcerting. Overall a very good beer.

Why can't Sierra go wrong? Because they are brewing with the best materials, best craftmanship, best recipes and with a passion like nobody else. Their approach, besides Stone, is one of the best out there, IMHO.
Because here they come with a Spring edition, this Hop Bullet and you know that you can expect excellent quality, outstanding aromas and a pleasant brew. Well that's exactly what you get!
What makes this beer great is the perfect blend of the best US hops and the perfect, almost "creamy" smooth mouthfeel. The hops create an aroma that is so enticing that you immediately lured and feel that you just can't get enough. A combination of resin, pine, fruits and some sweetness, simply an enthralling experience! And the icing on the cake is how it is made: very soft, natural carbonation, smooth to an extent that you feel like you're drinking honey dew. I'm amazed by this beer but not amazed by Sierra: they are simply one of the very best in the World! A truly great beer!

Very under rated beer. I live in Vt and have had many of the best in this category. It doesn’t punch you in the face with hoppy-ness but I don’t always want that. It’s great with food. The punch you in the face beer like Heady Topper is good but it’s like a meal itself. Takes away from the food instead of going well with it. It’s my go to beer when I find it.

L: bright gold with a slight haze under a 1" lacy and sticky ecru cap with a very fine bead and good retention

S: Big resiny, citrusy hop aromas rise from the glass with traces of fresh mowed grass, dank, pine, onion, light bread crumb

T: A slight sweetness starts the flavor joined by citrus, citrus rind, fruit, resin, some biscuit, and a big, assertive bitterness.

F: very creamy, airy texture and a medium body

O: packs a lot of flavor for the amount of alcohol
