Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw, appearance is murky with a lot of floating material, head is brighter white with fine to small bubbles.

Smell is subdued with light toast, herbal, light lemon and grapefruit.

Taste is similar with light toasted malt, herbs, lemon, citrus rind - clean, well presented and simple, standard SN.

Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate bitterness, dry on the extended finish.

Overall a take on the style of the day with clean, simple ipa profile of flavors and aroma.

Holiday Haze pours a hazy, copper color, with a big long lasting and lacing head. Big hoppy aroma. Flavor is big, full, very juicy, nice hop notes, with a slightly bitter finish. Good body and feel. Overall, fantastic, big flavors, great finish, very enjoyable.

from Sierra variety pack. 12oz can packaged late 9/17.
Smell: its all about citrusy hop aromas of orange juice and grapefruit. light bread, and cereal.
Look: pours deep gold/yellow almost OJ looking with a nice thick half inch of head which quickly dissipates to a third of that but then remains. the beer is hazy/murky with lots of white chunky sediment that eventually settles at the bottom. at that point it clears somewhat.
Taste: light malt sweetness well balanced by what seems like minimal but its just enough bitterness. citrus flavors are smooth and easy on the palate
Feel: medium body, creamy texture, subdued astringency and moderate carbonation. the finish is super smooth with a pleasant hoppy bitteness that finally comes through claiming its IPA credentials
Overall: obviously I really like this beer. I could drink it all night. to some people it might be too bland but I think they struck a great balance with its drinkability. only complaint is some people might be turned off by the flaky sediment at the bottom (flaked oats?, yeast, lactose?)

A: Hazy pale yellow to orange color, large white head, lots of suspended goodies, great lacing

S: Fruity, Bready, I get some floral as well

T: Same as smell, fruity hops balanced nicely by a bready malt backbone.

M: Medium

O: A really nice IPA from a great brewery. Certainly wouldnt mind having again.

12/27/17....pours hazy gold, cloudy, suspension filled. Light foam ring. Fruit forward nose. Mildly bitter and some citrus. Fast finish, slight bitter, really smooth overall. Very nice

Appearance: Cloudy golden with lots of sediment. Kinda unusual for a SN, but it’s the taste that really counts, right? Off-white suds and little to no lace.

Aroma: All kinds of fruity — stone fruit, citrus, tropical. Very pleasing.

Taste: Crisp and, again, really fruity hoppy. Smooth body and easy non-bitter finish. Another solid fruit-forward IPA from Sierra Nevada, and despite appearances, a solid and enjoyable American IPA.

You know how IPAs have that grapefruit smell? Well this smells and tastes like grapefruit that has been on the counter for 3 weeks and grown a coat of its own... The funkiness is a bit prominent, otherwise it's not a bad beer.
