Pours a semi-cloudy light golden color. Two finger white head collapses leaving some frothy hilly foam on top of the beer. Nice sticky lacing is left along the edges of the residual head and glass.

Aroma has notes of generic tropical fruits, lemon, some lemon grass and a touch of oniony like notes.

Taste is rather light with notes of generic tropical fruits, lemons grass, lemon peel, bit of grassy bitterness on the back end.

Feel is light, drinkable, with some lively carbonation. Nice smooth profile to this beer.

Very solid IPA from SN. Not sure its a "hazy" IPA per se, but on its own merits as an IPA, its good.

A: A very hazy pale yellow in color with a white head.

S: Loads of tropical fruit, citrus, pineapple, and mango.

T: Lighter flavor than the aroma would suggest, still some tropical fruit flavors, but there is also a hint of herbal, and a touch of soap.

M: Light in body with decent carbonation.

O: Not too bad, but also not the finest they have come up with.

Pours a hazy, very near opaque, pale orange with two fingers of white foam. Head retention is good as is lacing. Aroma is tangerine and papaya with toasty, biscuity, earthy, doughy malts. Tropical fruits are a light blast at the front, with malts coming on in the middle and end. Flavor profile is tangerine, papaya, mango, and domestic orange. Biscuity, bready, earthy, doughy malts come on stronger at the end, although they still remain nuanced and folded into the hops well. Mouth feel is a touch grainy and mingles with a lightly crispy texture to form a refreshing beer. It has a medium thickness. Overall, very intriguing mix of winter warmer spices and hops, but it works to an extent. Novelty may have some dumping this one, but with a little forewarning, is a welcome novelty.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz bottle.

Holiday Haze IPA brewed by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., with an ABV of 6.50% This New England IPA pours out of a 12oz glass bottle into a pint beer. The color of this IPA is a nice golden hazy color with a nice white head. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. This is definitely a unfiltered brew, you can not see past it. The smell is rich with hop bitterness, mixed with a slight sourness an earthy grains and malts. So far , Holiday Haze IPA is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. You first pick up on the hop bitterness, then a nice sweetness. The ending is nice an smooth with earthy grains and malts. This is a well put together IPA. It is really hard to pick up on the 6.50% ABV in this brew, it is just that smooth. The body of the Holiday Haze IPA is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. The mouth feel is Bold, Hoppy, Rich, Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I am going to give this New England IPA a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Did a real nice job with this IPA.

The latest variety pack keeps on giving some goodness...

The title of this beer pretty much sums up how I'm feeling post-Christmas and right before the new year. I will say that this was a solid and decent enough beer. Good coloration with a haziness to it, the smell was just about what you would expect from an IPA with a matching juicy taste. I liked it, looking for more and I know just the fridge where to find it.

My wife bought a seasonal Sierra Nevada mixed pack, which included this nice beer. From a bottle, this one pours a very hazy yellow-gold color with a fine white head. Mixed-sized bubbles and lots of lace. The aroma is fruity, with a little citrus and stone fruit. Soft malt flavor, balanced and drinkable. It has a firm and satisfying body. Nice.

Didn't quite pour it aggresively enough in my tasting glass to get much head, but when I had the other bottle in this pack, it poured about how you expect a Sierra Nevada head to look. Slightly hazy straw color, not as hazy as the name would imply. Comes accross like a chill haze.

Nose is hoppy, a bit cat-pissy, mango, crackery notes, some orange zest hanging out in there as well. Nose is not as strong as one expects in the haze craze.

Tastes sweet, then dives slightly into some fruitiness, before that gets taken over by bitterness, then it finishes dry. The slightest bit of alcohol heat is detected. The fruity notes are predominently pithy orange. Some crackery notes hanging around. I minerality can also be detected in the finish. Flavor is a bit toned down from what one normally expects from a hazy IPA.

This beer has a full mouthfeel. It is neither to thin, nor too thick. The carbonation adds a very pleasant tingle. Nothing crazy here, just about what's expected.

Overall, this is a very quafable beer. It's very approachable as a hazy IPA, but Sierra Nevada's other hazy offering, Hazy Little Thing, would probably be a better purchase than this beer. It's by no means a bad beer, but will not provide the wow factor one expects from a modern hazy/NE IP. The perfect beer for playing it safe, but always feeling like something is missing.

Pours a lovely golden yellow color with active carbonation and a tight white head.
smell is softly of orange and pineapple, slight funk like overripe citrus lurks in the back
taste is sweetly citrusy, orange/tangerine, with a hint of the tartness you find in pineapple. The sweetness fades into a piney bitterness that ends a bit acrid for me.
Mouthfeel is fair for the style, certainly softer than your typical IPA/APA but not as big and juicy as some of the standouts.
Overall this is an adequate offering from a standout brewer. Not one I would seek out neccesarily but certainly not one I would snub.

Hazy yellow-orange color. Foamy white head. Hoppy aroma, some hints of lemon. Earthy hops, some grassy notes, and fruit flavors. I noticed they didn’t call it a NEIPA. It’s a little more bitter than one, not as fruit juicy either, but it’s going in that direction.

12 oz. bottle - part of winter variety 12-pack. Packaged on 10/12/18 on the box, but packaged on 09/26/18 on the bottle:

Pours hazy/cloudy yellow with a thin white head that leaves trailing lace.

The smell is of citrus - orange and grapefruit.

The taste is of citrus - orange, lemon, grapefruit. Zesty, but with a restrained bitterness. Sierra Nevada house character comes through (a good thing).

It is smooth, creamy, refreshing.

Another winner from Sierra Nevada! Part of winter variety pack, but I could drink this year-round.

It's been a few months since I've had Hazy Little Thing, but this reminds me of it. I believe it is less assertive in the hop department and slightly stronger in the malt, which would fit for a winter version - though without trying it side by side, tough to really know. Going to try that at some point, probably, more to see if my memory serves me right than to just compare, as they were obviously meant to be different from each other.

Bottom line - Very good interpretation of the style. An enjoyable New England style IPA!

Holiday Haze IPA | Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this has a two finger thick soapy head, webbed lacing, and a hazed opaque pale gold body.

Smells derrrn juicy, alright. Nearly a sour in nature IMO.

The taste of hops are here, yes. But I wish they were more pronounced. Enjoyable nonetheless with a clean, crisp finish.

Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

Overall, I'll choose to rate Holiday Haze IPA | Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. with a 4.25. If this had more hops included, I think a majority of us would enjoy it at quite a bit more.

Looks light straw yellow with a nice fluffy white head.Considering the paleness of this beer it i surprising to see it hazy(duh),and semi opaque. Smells like citrus, some pine cone and fresh biscuit. Tastes is delicious with an abundance of tropical fruit notes, and a sweet caramel finish, Feels well constructed by professionals. Overall if this was available I would buy it alone.

Came in an SN winter assortment pack. Poured quite yellow and hazy as expected with a white foamy head that persisted some. Aroma is piney and floral with a full flavor to match. Finish is crisp with a pleasant aftertaste. I really like this beer, right in line with SNs predominantly other hop forward brews. If this were offered separately I seek it out.

Was expecting more of a NE IPA, that isn't what this is. Honestly it kinda tasted like a hazy, somewhat stronger SN Pale Ale. It was a good beer, just not what I was expecting so I was a little disappointed.

Pours extremely pale with only light haze. Nose quite earthy actually, and floral. Very much like an English IPA vs. American IPA. If you were expecting NEIPA, fugetaboutit. Flavor has cracker malts and an even bitterness...but again very English flavors here. Herbal, some citrus, and black pepper in the finish as well. Not a bad beer, but probably not what 99% of those picking it up are expecting.

12oz bottle. Poured out a hazy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled tropical with sweet toasted caramel. Pineapple and orange taste with caramel and a sharp bitterness.

Pours a soft, pale with a billowy head. Lots of ripe melon / cantaloupe on the nose & tongue, hops are slightly grassy & herbal with a mild bitterness. Not “tropical” per se, certainly an easy drink but feels timid

Holiday Haze IPA has a medium, off-white head, a hazy, yellow-gold appearance, with some lacing. The aroma is of fruit & white bread. The flavor is the same, with acidic bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Holiday Haze finishes drying. More of a pale ale, than an India pale ale, though.

Pours a hazy golden color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is very good. Lacing is excellent. Somewhat juicy aroma, but it is very deep in there. It is more floral with some earthy and maybe some grainy elements. Taste is pretty decent. There is definitely juicy citrus, maybe some melon. Herbal bitterness. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not a bad beer. Hazy Little Thing is better.

Hazing up the holidays, Sierra Nevada releases their "Snow Pack", equipped with all the holiday sudsy needs. Laced with Crystal and Citra hop aroma and taste, then bittered with the Magnum variety, their snow globe of an IPA is sure not to leave the hop heads behind as the craft beer palate shifts toward the malty.

Pale yellow and cast in a heavy translucent haze, Holiday Haze crowns with a dense sheet of stark white froth. Tangy, fruity and herbal aromas gravitate toward the nose with citrus, tropical and a botanical array that all hinge on the greener and under ripened varieties. Pastry-like in texture but soft with sweetness a light hint of honey and cereal provide a light doughy sweet taste of sugar cookie on the front of the tongue.

Sweetness slowly lifts as the hops quickly build up as the ale crosses the middle palate. The tangy fruitiness of under ripened oranges lead the way while hints of lemon, lime, gooseberry and passionfruit soon follow. Developing into a sharp, fragrant and woodsy, peppery bitterness, a balance of sassafras, lemongrass and green tea frame the hop dominant finish.

Medium light in body, the hazy IPA quickly favors the dry and peppery bitterness into a medium long aftertaste of herb, grass, gin and chive. Remnants of cream of wheat, cereal and dough keep the ale supported even while the stemmy hops do all the talking late.

Taste: It is citrusy with some grapefruit and pine in the flavors. There is a low level of spice and herbal in the background with some bread.

Feel: It has a medium body with moderate bitterness.

Overall, this is a fairly easy drinking IPA with varying hop flavors.

Pours a hazy straw color with a frothy white head that settled into a light cap.

The aroma is of a grassy hop along with light grapefruit rind. Some honey notes from the malt. Overall not a strong aroma.

The taste is quite grassy and bitter. Lots of grapefruit rind. Perhaps a hint of mint. The malt is fairly light and neutral.

The feel is moderate with fizzy carbonation. A chalky bitterness runs thru the palate. Not overly bitter though.

An easy drinking dry, bitter IPA.

Bottle from the mixed 12 pack from Hannaford
Slightly hazy light golden color with a bubbly white head. Lots of juicy citrus and light earth and pine against a bit of bready maltiness. It ain't for the juice bros, but its a pretty tasty beer.

Part of a mix 12-pack Safeway $13.88
Hazy golden orange tinged color
Smell of citrus
Medium mouthfeel
High carbonation
Juicy, bitter hops flavors.
Overall a nice IPA. I would prefer if the bitterness was a little more balanced to give it a little more mellow flavor.
