From a can dated 10/13/17 to a tulip.
Pours to a light gold, subtle haze, borders on clear but not quite. Significant head, but it does fade to lacing and surface head after a few minutes.
Aroma is wet old grass. This is dank, but with a mild bite that I can't describe.
Taste is pretty awesome for a session, starts mild, hop "bite" comes on full at the back end.
Mouth feel is light but acceptable for a session. Carbonation seems appropriate.
Overall -what great 4.8% beer.

Canned on date of 10/17/17

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and a pale, golden yellow with a white finger width head. Fair retention results in a thin, broken layer of suds with a thicker ring around the edge of the glass. Lacing is good, with broken sheeting, lines and spotting.

Smell - The aroma fills the room as this guy gets poured into the glass. Fresh, leafy aroma with a bit of citrus, stonefruit pit nuttiness and some dank. Hints of lightly toasted bread.

Taste - Follows the nose. Notes of leaf, mild lemon and a slight dank and spicy bite. Distant, lightly toasted bread makes up the malt profile. Spice bite intensifies in the finish before rolling back, leaving a leafy oily hop impression in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Light in body with moderate, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a semi-dry finish.

Overall - One of the best session IPA's I've had, and I've no doubt it's due to the fresh hops used. This Fresh Hop pack offering from SN is one of the best variety packs they've offered in years.

Appearance: Clean golden amber, with a huge head of foamy white suds. Lovely lace.

Aroma: Crisp tropical hops, fruity and fresh.

Taste: Bittersweet citrus and fruit hops, with pineapple and grapefruit coming through. Smooth with a clean finish. Very impressive and easy-drinking with enough hops to satisfy any hophead.

Pours a clear light yellowish with a nice head, a good amount of lacing. Aroma had hints of citrus and hops. A pleasant taste of citrus and hops. A light bodied session with a good amount of carbonation. A nice solid session IPA.

Not typically a fan of session IPAs but this one was good and made me a convert, even if only for one day. I don't recall having had a beer with Strata hops but it seems to suit a session IPA well. A nice, appropriate level of bitterness - it's there at the edges but never gets in the way of the grapefruit peel flavor I was getting.

Poured from a 12oz can into a speiglau ipa glass.

Look is a crystal clear yellow with a billowy white head.

Aroma is intense fresh hop. Piney, herbal, and citrus definitely comes through.

The hops definitely home through. They are full and thick in a way that hides the fact that it is a session beer.

Absolutely delicious.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip

A: Pours a clear, light, pale yellow with a bright white head, lots of carbonation, decent amount of lacing.

A: Light aromas of guava, pine, grapefruit peel, dank, citrus, not getting any malt, all subtle hop aroma on this one, pleasant.

T: Grapefruit peel, guava, pine, moderate amount of piney and citrus peel bitterness in the middle, finish has light malt notes along with lingering notes of grapefruit peel, very easy to drink.

M: Light bodied with a good amount of carbonation, dry finish, it's heavy on the palate for such being a session IPA, leaves a slight raked feeling on the palate.

O: A solid session IPA, it is hoppier than I expected for the style, amazing drinkability, it's also very green in its aroma and taste.

Clear deep gold with three fingers of white head that lasts about five minutes. Nice lacing as the head drops.
Smell is dank and floral hops.
Taste is fruity grapefruit hops with just enough malt for the style.
The mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. The finish is lightly dry and moderately bitter.
Overall one of the best of these session IPAs.

Clear gold, lightly sparkling, with a moderate white foam head settling to a thin uneven film and leaving spotty fuzzy lace.

Smell is lightly dank and piney with grapefruit rind, orange zest and a hint of cracker.

Through a moderate body with a nice, perfect round carbonation, flavors of semi-bitter pine and grapefruit are joined by lemon, orange and cracker, finishing crisply semi-dry.

Aptly and succinctly named, this is very drinkable.

The pour is a brilliant straw color, almost clear, with a couple of fingers of fluffy bone-white head.

Aromas are grassy hops and large quantities of citrus - lemon, tangerine, grapefruit. The taste is astringently bitter at times, with grassy hop flavors yielding immediately to the lemon and grapefruit flavors. There is no - zero - discernible malt.

That’s the issue I’ve had with the session IPA’s I’ve had. The malt is diminished, with an abundance of hops (IMHO) replacing it, leaving a beer that’s more bitter than is necessary, again IMHO.

The mouthfeel, though, is excellent with an oily feel I’d expect from a much bigger beer than this flavorful 4.8% ABV beer. This reminds me of a lighter version of Hop Hunter, which is not a bad thing.

Pours a clear, pale yellow with a several fingers thick fluffy, white head. Light scents of lemon, pine, and earth. Taste is lemon, earth, and a little pine and citrus bitterness to round it out. Light body, minimal carbonation. Dry. Lingering bitterness. As a session IPA, it's pretty good. Would work pretty good for a party or tailgate.

For a session beer this is really well done. Clear and pale gold with a fluffy white head that leaves bands of lacing. Smells like weed with a hint of grapefruit. It is of course more bitter than sweet but there is a pretty good balance for a low ABV IPA. Nice bitter weed, pine and pith finish. Another solid brew from SN.

My favorite (other than Celebration) from the Fresh Hop Pack

Pours light yellow clear and with a 1/2 in head.

Bright citrus aroma and super crisp bite.

Finishes super clean. Really like this one. One of the best "sessions" I've had.
