Canned date of 10/17/17

Appearance - Pours hazy and dull orange in color with an off-white, one finger width head. Fair retention results in a solid layer of suds that build up thickly around the edge of the glass. Fair lacing with broken lines and small spotting.

Smell - Leafy goodness, citrus, fresh pine, hints of passionfruit and mango.

Taste - Follows the nose. Fresh, green leaf and pine with a lot of citrus character; orange, light lemon and some grapefruit bitterness. Crackery malt backbone. Hints of passionfruit. Spice bite comes through in the finish before a mild orange pith bitterness dominates the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with bitey carbonation. Smooth, easy drinker with a crisp, dry finish.

Overall - A really solid drinker, and a tasty little Fresh Hop IPA from SN. It's not the best I've had, but it's not far off.

Appearance: Hazy golden, with a nice off-white head of foam. Beautiful wall of ornate lace.

Aroma: Fruity, tropical hops and citrus notes. Nice.

Taste: Bitter citrus and some fruit here, with a dry finish. Perfectly solid example of an American IPA.

Pours a nice copper color with nice head and very nice lacing. Aroma was a very nice balance of citrus hints. The taste follows the nose with an added nice hoppiness. Medium bodied with nice carbonation and a a distinctiveness bitterness. Nicely balanced and my favorite from the Fresh Hop variety pack.

The crown jewel of the stellar SN Fresh Hop Pack. Bright orange in color. A nice citrus aroma of grapefruit and tangerine. Taste starts with the same citrus aspects & a nice level of bitterness comes in midway until the end. A great IPA for a crisp, autumn day.

Poured from a 12oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a slightly hazy orange amber with a big head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma is light herbal and pine with a touch of citrus.

Taste is an explosion of flavors that match aroma. Lots bitter dank pine with a light herbal citrus running through.

Well balanced and delicious.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip

A: Pours a slightly hazy bright orange with a bright white full creamy head, lots of lacing with decent retention, nice stream of bubbles, nice appearance.

A: Lots of citrus aromas, lemon peel, grapefruit peel, tangerines, oranges, touch of a tropical note like guava, nice aroma of bready malts in the finish, nice balanced aroma.

T: Like the nose but a stronger tropical note, slight sweet citrus, grapefruit peel, punch of guava, moderate bitterness in the middle with notes of grapefruit peel and guava, touch of pine, finish is dry with lingering notes of grapefruit peel and guava, nice touch of malts in the finish as well, very tasty.

M: Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation and a dry finish, almost like chewing citrus rinds.

O: Very impressed with Fresh Hop IPA, lots of citrus notes with a touch of tropical and pine, amazing drinkability, it's tasty and balanced and the quality really comes through. I'm beginning to appreciate Sierra Nevada's brewing expertise as I enjoy a lot of their recent releases.

Very cloudy with three fingers of bone color head. Swaths of lace as the level drops.
Smell is slightly dank with floral hop note.
Taste is dank and floral hops. Malt level is proper for the style.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with just enough carbonation. The finish is mildly dry and bitter.
Overall a decent fresh hop IPA.

Minimally hazy yellow gold, hazier at the top than the bottom of the body, with a large white foam settling to a creamy blanket leaving tons of spongy lace.

Smell is burnt resin with a lighter citrus bouquet of lemon, orange and grapefruit, accented by pine, biscuit and Smarties.

Taste is mostly bitter but lightly so, spritzed with lemon rind, orange and grapefruit, as well as notes of pine and cracker. Bitterness subsides after time, becoming tangier and more drinkable.

Body has a medium heft with a smooth body, soft carbonation and a semi-dry crisp swallow.

Pour yields a brilliantly yellow, hazy beer propping up a frolicking, fluffy off-white head. Simply gorgeous. Aromas are all hops - lots of passion fruit, maybe some prickly pear, and other tropical notes. No malt that I can detect, which is actually fine, given the hop aromas.

The taste pungently hoppy, veering closely to acerbic, then mellowing a bit at the end of the taste - I detected a decidedly pineapple note, which pulled this back a bit. The feel is oily hops, with an effervescence that aligns perfectly with the hoppy pungency of the beer.

Sierra Nevada continues to produce very flavorful beer that are executed exceptionally well - and they’re available everywhere. Truly a treasure of a brewery, IMHO.

Pours a slight hazy, yellow-orange color with about a finger of white head that slowly fades. Smell is grapefruit, lemon peel, tangerine, and a little bready malt. Taste is a solid malt backbone, grapefruit, a little bit of pine, guava, mild bitterness. Medium body, decent carbonation, dry finish. Overall, very nice. I love the balance of this between hops and malt, just enough bitterness. Delicious.

Slightly hazy bright gold bee with a big white, sticky head that leaves gobs of lacing everywhere. Smells a little sweet with grapefruit and weed in the nose. Up front it tastes lightly sweet with some grapefruit then a ton of pith, pine and some weed. Finishes bitter with some leafy hops in the aftertaste. Pretty damn tasty beer.
