Notes:
We're constantly brewing new IPAs looking for bold hop flavor. With this beer, our brewers thought it was so good that we decided to serve it straight from the tanks - unfiltered, unprocessed, and raw - to let all the fruit-forward hop flavors shine. The result is a hazy beer with modest bitterness and intense hop character. To some, making an unfiltered hop bomb may seem crazy, but to us, its a hazy little thing called IPA.
BITTERING HOPS: Magnum
FINISHING HOPS: Citra, Comet, Simcoe, El Dorado, Mosaic
MALTS: Two-row Pale, Munich, Oats, Wheat

12oz can.
L: Cloudy orange with two fingers of cream head that collapses to a thick ring but leaves plenty of lacing.
S: Citrus rind but underpowered.
T: Tastes much more indulgent than it smells. Rich, overripe tropical fruit with a resinous backbone. Bitterness starts light but builds.
F: Medium/light body with a dry mouthfeel that becomes increasingly arid.
O: A West Coast meets East Coast IPA. Innovative in 2017, when NEIPA wasn’t a ‘thing’, but not a stand-out today. Kudos nonetheless for being an early adopter.
NB interesting seeing reviews under here describing near 7% ABV as “easy-going” or “sessionable”. Crazy times.

Poured on tap into a shaker glass yields a thin white head and cloudy orange color, nice soapy lacing and cap
Aroma of muted tropical and citrus fruits
Taste is citrus and hints of pineapple. Kind of yeasty giving it a biscuit like note
Mouthfeel is fairly smooth, very easy drinking with a slightly astringent finish
Overall it a nice easy lower abv drinking beer. It would be a good starter IPA for someone’s first time.

One of my favorite IPAs. Significant citrus flavors, particularly grapefruit and orange. Mildly bitter. Head is thick and cream colored with a slight umami-like note. Smooth mouth-feel. Easy to drink too quickly.

Surprisingly utilitarian drinkable session hazy from Sierra. Perhaps my low expectations helped it exceed them. I'd have this again on a hot summer day!

Appearance: Pours a cloudy looking tang color. No head to speak of. Not a pretty lookin beer in my book.
Smell: Lemon juice, mango, pineapple and fresh cut grass.
Taste: Juicy tropical fruits up front. Lemon, pineapple and orange blend together with a nice dose of pine pollen. Bitterness is there and it is mighty refreshing. Malt is reminding me of some saltine crackers. There's a fair bit of yeast towards the finish, much like Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale. Well balanced.
Feel: Medium bodied, slick, chewy and well carbonated. Really really nice to drink.
Overall: This reminds me a lot of Smuttynose Finest Kind IPA. Both are great beers and will cure an IPA itch in a jiffy. Good stuff, thank you Sierra Nevada.
