Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.70%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
We're constantly brewing new IPAs looking for bold hop flavor. With this beer, our brewers thought it was so good that we decided to serve it straight from the tanks - unfiltered, unprocessed, and raw - to let all the fruit-forward hop flavors shine. The result is a hazy beer with modest bitterness and intense hop character. To some, making an unfiltered hop bomb may seem crazy, but to us, its a hazy little thing called IPA.

A 12 fl. oz. can, packaged on 21st May 2018. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Appearance: A hazy golden orange colour with a big almost three finger white head that had good retention and left lots of nice lacing.

Aroma: Orange, mandarin, lemon, citrus zest and rind, pine with hints of bread.

Taste: Lightly bitter, orange, grapefruit, citrus rind, pine with a hint of mango.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: Nice, refreshing and easy to drink.

A balance of citrus and grain, great beer when you need a change in flavor it morphs.

Taste rating in words: It's a marriage two side coming together.

Hope is not a plan. I hoped SN would make an above average and inexpensive NEIPA. However, this turned out to be a little below average in every way except for an average nose. Lacked that juicy quality and even had a light off-flavor going into the finish. Certainly some value here for the price, but not what I was hoping for.

This is a very nice refreshing ipa. It has a light fruit start but i think the finish is a little thin and disappointing. Still, it's a nice ipa for a hot sunny day. Nothing to remarkable but nothing offensive either.

A very good NE-style "session IPA" which is widely available. Highly suggested if you enjoy the style but seek a lighter, less expensive, NE-style IPA. The hoppy flavor fades after about 2 months so be sure to check the date.

I really HATE the name of this beer, but it may just be one of the best IPA's I have had. Let's face it, IPA can be a challenge to get right, and few breweries get it right. SN got it right with this one, I can slug these down one after another. IPA is all about balance, and this one has it. There is no yeast bite, and although it is hazey, it tastes and finishes really clean and crisp. I am happy they only sell it in cans, as keeping it from getting light struck keeps it the way they intended until you pop it open.
