A: Pours a golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap

S: Grassy, citrusy, and floral hops up front along with some light earthiness and grain

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the citrus, floral, and grassy hops and then picks up the earthy notes and light malt sweetness. Finishes with lingering floral hops and some pine

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A solid session ale that is super easy to drink. Good balance. Check it out

12oz. bottle served in a shaker pint. Pours a translucent, straw gold with a loose, 1/8th inch, off-white head. Nose is expectedly subdued - some hints of citrus and cracker malts. Taste is fairly flavorless. Some more dull citrus and herbal notes; however, malt profile is more prevalent. Mouthfeel is light in body with a mild acidity and a carbonation shy of lively. Overall, pretty lackluster.

Appearance: Modestly hazy, light thinned yellow with a medium-small, white head and active effervescence.

Smell: Softly citrusy, mild pine with some restrained resiny, floral hints. Mildly malty, just some aromatic pops of baguette, gentle grain.

Taste: Fairly dry from the get-go, there's some slight breadiness, crisped wheat and a noted crackery quality. A fair range of hop flavors, though they're on the subtler side. Citrus, florals, herb and resiny pine - all pretty light. Finishes crisply sudsy and a quite dry.

Mouthfeel: Medium-soft body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: It's nice and light, though boosted and bolstered by the inclusion of wheat and some nice sudsiness. The sustained, persistent dryness throughout and ample effervescence gives it some flirtations with the Brut IPA.

Bright yellow in color with a light haze. Poured with a moderate, soapy, bright white foam with medium retention. Aromas of light citrus, lemongrass and light malt. Medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Soft citrus and lemongrass hop flavors with medium light malt and medium piney hop bitterness. Pine hop and malty flavors carry to the end. Finished semi-dryly with lingering hop bitterness. Light, tasty, and very easy-drinking. A bit more bitter than most session IPAs.

Picked this up last summer when I was in Chico, at the source. Took it camping. Twas hot and hit the spot.

Pours one of the lightest color SRMs I've ever seen in a Sierra Nevada beer. 1/2" white head on it, good clarity, professional looking as always from these guys. The aroma was a grassy tree like hop with a dab of grapefruit, seemed like maybe Centennial/Cascade.

Taste brought out a little more, the beer is sprinkled with like 6 different hop varieties, but the old school C ones along with bittering charges from Simcoe and Magnum push along the ibus. Citra, Loral and Mosaic seem to be used sparingly, its cool to list those hops I guess, but they aren't really pushing much weight here. Yeah just a weird diverse amount of hops for something so light and sessionable, tend to get more play out of a more simple smash like formula at this strength, but this was still an enjoyable beer to say the least. The body is similar to the hops, there's a bunch of different malts but it really comes off just like pilsner and wheat. CaraRed and Negra must have been like 2 grams worth or something.

Yeah, like most session, or shall I say, lite, beers, there's no malt here. No balance.

12 Oz bottle poured into glass
Look - very light yellow color, small foam head and minimal lacing. A little cloudy.
Smell - basic IPA aroma, grassy hops, and sweetness. Some lemon pepper.
Taste - quite bitter, not what i expected. It lacks balance and it is grainy. Hops are earthy, with some slight pine. Orange rind bitter. Body is medium and carbonation is medium-high. Like eating a bowl of hops.

Overall, quite displeased with this as it isn't a session in my opinion. I absolutely will not drink more than one of these, too bitter, despite the lighter body than most IPA's. Grade is a B-

Part of a variety 24-pack Costco $25.99
Light floral scent
Slightly hazy golden amber tinged color
Light-medium mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Thin tasting, like a IPA that was poured over ice and meted
Overall not good. Would not buy again.
