This is a great little lager though I think it's a bit over priced. It is a golden straw typical lager, but it is much more aromatic. It has a full flavored nice pine needle like hop kind of characteristic of the brewery. This is a great beer that is widely available. Not quite the level of victory or anchor steam, but it is worth a try and good in its own right.

12 oz bottle into pint glass.

Appearance - Pours a lively golden color with a dense white head. Takes a few minutes before it recedes to a thin soapy cap. Leaves nice lacing.

Smell - Very clean with a sweet cereal grain nose. Reminiscent of graham crackers. Some spicy hops hang in the background.

Taste - Delicate saaz hop bitterness dominates the flavor profile with the sweet grains lying beneath and in the finish. Bitterness does not linger. Very nicely balanced. This is one crisp and clean pilsener.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with good carbonation to match. Nice smooth texture. Pleasantly dry finish.

Drinkability - Crisp, clean, and refreshing. A great warm weather lager backed up by the perect amount of hop bitterness. Extremely drinkable and delicious!

Presentation: short stubby 12 oz. brown twist top bottle. 2004 on the label around the neck.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden straw yellow. Big fluffy white head forms with good retention and a ton of lace.

Smell: floral noble hops, a little fruitiness, and grassy.

Taste: Good dose of flavoring hops, very floral. Sweet malt start up front, with a very light bitterness. Light carbonation, medium-full body, clean fruity finish.

Notes: Another good beer from Sierra Nevada. This beer seems to have a lot more hops, but I like it.

Poured a light copper, mostly clear, and slightly bubbly. Smell was nothing out of the ordinary and the taste was only slightly less boring. Nothing partiularly distinct about this one, but not bad. Drinkable but extremely average. I'd much rather celebrate summer with some flavor.

12 oz bottle, march date SAPP glass

A: 1 finger rough off white head. completely clear Light yellow with streaming carbonation coming off the bottom. nice looking bee. head stays around as a ring on the sides of the glass. slight lace clings, but fades

S: rich malted barley and bread, a punch of floral and grassy Saaz, and a light lemon zest aroma. slight earthy notes

T: nice little hop punch upfront, then a huge wave of delicious sweet grain that fades into a nice floral hop finish. Really nice

M: low bodied, carbonation is great, no issues here

O: I love this beer and buy it by the case in summer. You owe it to yourself to grab some. Even my Sierra Nevada hating friends like this one. This is a beer for everyone, even BMC folk will enjoy

A - extremely clear, light golden.

S - light beer. grain husk, touch of lemon

Taste - Light lager... almost like sucking on dry uncooked pasta. there is however a tiny hint of lemon, and a faint white pepper type spiciness i think. thats nice, but aside from that, its just another light lager.

M - nice amount of carb. good feel

overall, i guess i just cant see the good side of any lager... unless its a doppelbock or something. but this one was better than BMC, and I'd rather have had this than a glass of water.

I am not a big pilsener guy, so hopefully that doesn't skew my review.

Appearance - Fizzy yellow, with a two finger head. Lots of bubbles and leaves light lacing.

Smell - Malt, slight citrus, and a grassy hay-like funk.

Taste - Tastes better than the smell, but the smell is a good indication for what it is going to taste like. The hops takes the center stage.

Mouthfeel - Effervescent front, and then falls flat at the end. I was expecting a crisper finish, but it never showed up.

Drinkability - Not bad. Flavor is good enough to keep you coming back. Drink it on a hot day outside.

It is certainly not my favorite offering from Sierra Nevada, but I would have it again.

Pours nice straw color with a good fizzy white head that goes away quickly but leaves a thin coating on top of the beer and just a couple of lacings.

Aroma is nice and malty for a pilsner with a distinctive saaz hoppyness.

Taste is very impressive with a good body and maltyness and a nice clean but hoppy finish. Just a bit of dryness at the end with very little aftertaste.

Pilsners are hard to review due to the lightness of them but this one stands out with a nice malty flavor and good hoppyness. I love Czech pilsners and this one rates up there with the best.
This is an awesome lawnmower beer for the summer.

Presentation: Very attractive eye-catching can with a great graphics in the SNBC style and tradition. Can give a bit of brewery info and ABV info.

Appearance: A semi aggressive pour from its 12oz can into a 14oz Pokal led a 2 finger white airy light head atop a clear bright golden yellow beer. Head retention was a solid 2min 55sec before fading to a thick ring and thin coating. With good lacing.

Smell/Aroma: Smell is of floral hops with hints of white wine and sweet honey. Hits of pale malts also hit the palette.

Flavor/Taste: Taste of grainy malts and floral hops on the front end with a spicy hop midpoint that turns slightly herbal. Has a very nice grainy malt finish.

MouthFeel/Drinkability: Light and refreshing with a crisp clean mouthfeel that finishes a bit dry. Very drinkable.

Overall/Comments: A truly refreshing and drinkable session beer that would go down easy on a hot summer day. Very tasty and well put together. Try it. Classified as a Czech Pilsner @ 5% ABV. Consumed 10/14/13.
