Bottle to Pils glass

App- Looks like a nice beer. A medium darker yellow with a one finger white head and a good bit of lace and sticky cling.

Smell- Doesnt smell like a traditional lager. A little bit of corn, wheat and earth. Dont get much hops on the nose. A little floral comes through.

Taste- Okay, as I sit smaking my lips. It tastes like tortilla chips to me. Has a bit of salty taste to it with some corn and a bit of grass. I try, I really do. Just not a lager guy.

Mouth- A lighter medium body with a medium carbonation. A bit of wheat and earthy grass on the finish.

Drink- I can see how people like this. Pretty crisp and clean. Step up from an AAL. Just not for me.

Ap: Very orange, golden straw yellow but a few shades darker. Without tasting it, it comes off appearing like an adjunct lager. The lacing and head remind you it probably isn't a macro.

Ar: Very syrupy and corn like with a mild biscuit/breadiness. Awkward smell. Not appealing.

Ta: Not as impressed with this representation by SN. Very sugary and syrupy in flavor. I'm noticing a mild presence of pineapple with some mild bitter notes. There is a nice touch of hops but nothing overwhelming. It is not a terribly delicious beer. It's just a few shades better than your typical adjunct. Disappointing.

Mf: Here is where it shines. It's smooth and rather rich. A nice creamy, frothy texture. This doesn't have the watery presence as other lagers or pilsners. This is rich and entertains from beginning to end.

Ov: Evaluating as a pilsner, it fails. It tastes very little like a pilsner. As a beer on its own, it is ok until you factor in the price. There are many other beers that can give you a similar experience. Not Sierra Nevada's best. But I can drink more than one. Cheers!

A: Bright, clear yellow, well carbonated. Small white head with a little bit of clingy lacing.

S: Wheaty, bready malts with just a hint of fruity hops.

T/M: Bready malts dominate, with some mild spiciness and a bit of hop flavor, and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Very mild and straightforward. Mouthfeel is on the thin, watery side.

O: A pretty good pilsener, nothing special or amazing, but it's crisp and refreshing and good for a hot summer day.

Very brief write-up for the 2015 batch. The aroma is more or less typical to the average craft Czech-style pilsner - lots of grassy hops dominate. Having said that, there's no real 'pop' on the nose. The taste, again, is pure Saaz hop goodness. Just like the nose suggested, nothing really pops (though it is a decent lager). This one seems much lighter than most on the palate (carbonation is almost intense, natch), going down with that ease that only a pilsner can attain. It doesn't wow me like some pilsners do, but it'll do in a pinch.

3.15/5: One can do better, but I wouldn't kick this out of bed

12oz bottle into DFH shaped pint glass.

A: Pours a crystal clear light golden color with a huge, airy, bone white head that slowly faded into a fuzzy film that left a few spots of sticky lace down the glass.
S: Crip, light, and refreshing notes of cracked grains, pale crystal malts, and earthy hops. Bready, crips and lightly spicy all around.
T: Bread crust, cracked grains, light malts and a low amount of earthy and slightly lemony hops fill my mouth. Flavors are buttery yet crisp and refreshing. The aftertaste is full of pepper and lager yeast.
M: Even, bubbly carbonation, medium-light body, crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. This beer, as expected by the style, is super smooth and easy to drink.
O: SN does it again. This is an extremely flavorful and easy drinking pilsner, and one I could drink all the time. Cheers.
