Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, "PKGD" date 05/03/16.

APPEARANCE: pours a clear, light golden color with less than one finger white head that quickly dissipated until just a ring of small bubbles remained around the glass, there is no lacing present, medium carbonation.

SMELL: crackers and honey sweetness, very faint to the nose.

TASTE: initially sweet honey then crackers and then a lemon citrus note and a light hop kiss at the end.

PALATE: lighter body and medium carbonation.

OVERALL: this beer is not much to look at but it's a good tasting lager perfect for the Fourth of July, this beer would have broad appeal and would be a safe bet for a family gathering, I would buy this again for myself and this would be my "go to" when hosting friends and family.

Here comes a bright yellow and golden beer with great professsional grade clarity and a firm 3/4" white top. Could be Budweiser it looks so good. Aroma has lots of lemon and hop zest.

Surprisingly bitter, this is definitely fitting the bill of those mass produced lagers, but this one drops substantially more content in it, hops, impart actual flavor here, not just bitterness, which is ample. The lemon takes on a Sorachi Ace kind of connotation even though I believe there are none actually in here. Lager yeast is clean, not really fruity, although that could easily be what contributes to the lemon summertime feels.

Solid summer choice for someone not looking for massive hops or gose/berlinner weirdness.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear gold color with a small white head. The aroma is all hops and malt. The taste follows the nose but also has a nice dose of pepper.

A nice crisp lager with plenty of malty, hoppy flavor but with no aftertaste and the right amount of carbonation...will buy this one again...

Ap Golden and brilliantly clear. Modest white head with some creaminess and retention. Coarse, cola like carbonation bubbles

Ar. Soft nose, malt, sulfur, minimal hop. Mostly clean. More noble hops (spicy/herbal) as warms.

Flav. A bit of malt sweetness and some spicy noble hop flavors up front. Clean flavor profile. Finishes with some gentle bitterness.

Mf. Med body and med high carb. Very unobtrusive mouthfeel.

Overall Flavor and aroma not quite up with best of style, but a super drinkable seaonal lager from Sierra Nevada. As warms up seems a bit like an American Pilsner Urquel

Well, we are going on the last legs of summer here in the 2nd to last day of August. Cracked my one and only Summerfest for you beach-ball hittin' babes out there.

Summerfest pours a strikingly golden coin color with 3 fingers of voluptuous head, leaving tons of lace behind. Haze and sediment float lightly around the glass.

Aromas of oranges, pears, fresh cut apples, pilsner malts, and fresh cornbread.

Flavor is pretty darn great at the front, with lots of fruit and bread notes, namely pear and sourdough; but towards the finish it just falls flat. Lots of ashy flavors, stale pilsner malts, 3 year old bubble gum pulled from a railing (or what I think that would taste like), metal, and dirt. The first 2 seconds great, the last 8, a big nope.

Feel is crisp and tight, gives off a very nice effervescence. Semi Dry finish.

Overall, the Summerfest seems to promise a lot but fails to deliver in a big way. I wish the finish on this was better, but maybe I just got a severely light-struck bottle :-(
