T - Seems more malty than hoppy
F - Thick, really covers the tounge
O - Born on 9-22-15, not too impressed

I was fortunate enough to get 24 bottles of this awesome seasonal treat. I cherished each and every beer I opened. I drove over 150 miles round trip to purchase this fabulous beverage. I currently live in Mississippi on the gulf coast, and have to travel to Louisiana to get the diversity of beers I crave. I am from Las Vegas,NV and took it for granted that variety was the norm, not so. I admit that I may not be as sophisticated as some in describing smell or taste, but I do know what I like. I look forward to finding this seasonal offering every year.

24 fl.oz. bottle. Bottled on 2015-04-15.

A: Dark amber. A little bit hazy. There was a lot of foam, and it retained for a while.
S: As an IPA, the aroma is unexpectedly being malts oriented, mixed with some citrus (tangerine).
T: Moderate citrus (tangerine) and bitterness. Semi-dry. A little toasted flavor. Dry finish.
M: Medium bodied and creamy.
O: Unfortunately I can't drink it fresh. The hops aroma might fade out. But it's still a delicious IPA.

Dark copper pour with 2 finger foamy head.

Smelled of decent piney hops. Small amount of malts

Average piney-hop taste. Malt flavors do not come through very well.

medium bodied, with mild carbonation.

Not an offering from Sierra Nevada that I would drink again.

Bottled. Floral hop smell at opening but loses aroma in glass. Finger and a half of head that doesn't disapate. Amber and clear in color. Mild bitter in taste and hop bite sticks to the tongue. Carmel hit on the front end and rounded hop and malt taste in the back end. Nice beer

This is similar to Sierra Nevada's Torpedo, but does have a fresh hop undertone. The hops aren't nearly as up-front as I would like them to be. The bitterness, like the Torpedo, IMO, a little overdone, and lingers quite a lot. The roasted malts are great and spot-on, but not what I came here to taste. I would get it again if I saw it on tap, but otherwise, I wouldn't buy or recommend this beer. It lacks balance, as well as the intense aromatic qualities I expect from an American IPA, especially a wet-hopped one.

Shows packaged end of April, so it's already past the 100 days. Doesn't seem too far fallen off. Very foamy and carbonated, dark brownish orange. Not a ton on the nose, so maybe that's where it's missing something. It's got a nice hoppy taste, little bitterness, slight malt. Enjoy the mouthfeel more than the actual taste. Not bad beer.

this was from a bomber bottled on 4/27/15.

poured a dark amber with a nice frothy thick retaining head. the smell of this was almost nonexistent. it's not that it smelled bad, it's that the smell was minimal. if the smell were unpleasant i would rate it lower but if it had a pleasing evident smell i'd rate it higher.

this has a pleasant caramel malt taste to it. it is certainly an ipa but it has a malt flavor to it. this beer goes down smooth but it is a little thick.

not a bad beer but far from perfect, i would prefer torpedo or hop hunter to this but solid nonetheless.
