We were in search of something fantastic. Something juicy, something hazy, something ripe with notes of mango, melon and citrus. So we said, "Reason be damned," and filled our kettles with five hop varieties and loads of malt, oats and wheat. Some may call that absurd. We call it absurdly fantastic.

CAN
Hazy tarnished brass with a steady cap of pocked snow white froth; dank, overripe pineapple and oily orange leaf nose; butter shortbread malts, mango chutney, pink grapefruit salad, earthy dank, menthol, canned orange segments, and oily herb; oily yet chalky with lingering bitterness.
Chinook, Azacca, Amarillo, Idaho 7, Strata

A big dank attack on the nose, and the taste follows through with the heaviest sides of tropical: this is Strata leading the aroma charge, with the weedy side of I7 + lushest Azacca.
The dankness is not of the ganga kind, but more genuinely sticky, minty sense (as Woody noted.) This is paired, though not quite managed by, some throwback high IBUs + West Coast water chemistry.
Not hot + Sierra Nevada in solid execution (if without the house style) but also an odd melange of gooey fruit + Cali cleaness.
Blurs the lines between West Coast and New England more than some beers than set out to do so. Almost reminds me of an on-the-turn cantaloupe out of the fridge, amazing + sickly sweet by turns as it warms up.
Interesting + different, but I can’t see wanting to drink it very much.

CAN
Pale amber with big puffy head; light pine sap and orange rind on the nose; caramel, orange Bubblicious, tangerine, cotton candy, mango, honeydew, candied pineapple + minty sugary end; medium + sticky.

Why is this so sweet?? All the most amusement park gumball sides of these hops - obnoxiously tropical with not a speck of dank or pine ito tame it. 40 IBUs are also nowhere in sight + why the heck do I want this at 9%? Also not really at all NEIPA, but I don’t think it’s claiming to be.
A car crash for me tonight, coming hot on the heels of a good Verdant DIPA. I heard this is not doing well for SN; deservedly so.
How not to do tropical.

De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Jugando a Fortnite y Larry Wet Dreams. No está mal. Presenta el perfil maltoso que uno asocia a sierra nevada aunque resulta algo metálica y le falta algo de punch que anime a quererla repetir

3 months from canning. Looks good in the glass. Foamy white head, color is a golden orange. Nose brings pineapple, peaches, maybe some papaya. Taste is tropical fruit, white bread, and booze. Medium mouthfeel, and bites and fights you going down. As it warms it becomes more citrusy but with a harder alcohol presence. This one's a sipper and I probably would not purchase again. Not very balanced or memorable.

Very pleasant not over powering "Citrus" IPA, easy to drink and to forget it is 8%. Packed at Costco with Torpedo and 3 others, a great flavor fest. I would definitely recommend trying this one if you like Sierra Nevada's other offerings.

Smell of oranges, citrus
Hazy golden-orange color
Heavy, creamy mouthfeel
Medium-high carbonation
Taste of oranges, tangerines, citrus flavors. Creamy texture reminds me of melted ice cream in a slush float. Alcohol hidden well. Light bitterness finish.
Overall good for the style. Easy drinking, which makes it dangerous with the high ABV.
