Poured into a weizen glass, the appearance was a nice cloudy burnt yellow color with a two finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a nice pace. Gliding sort of stringy to becoming spider web lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of sweet wheat, banana esters, spicy clove and a little bit of some grassiness at the end.
The flavor was moderately sweet yet pulling into a subtle banana sweet and spicy arrangement just before the aftertaste hit.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a really nice sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, really nice hefeweizen brewed by an American brewer well worthy of coming back to in the Summer.

Backlog. 12 oz bottle. Aroma: initial whiff: not much here. After letting it sit a minute or so, the aroma reveals notes of banana, wheat. This is a beautiful beer whith great head retention and lacing. Flavor is so authentically Bavarian, I think a native Munich citizen would have difficulty differentiating this from classic German Hefeweizens like Hacker-Pschorr, Paulaner, or Spaten. Tastes like the aroma notes. Somewhat sour aftertaste. Another quality brew from one of America’s greatest breweries.

L: Very hazy and doesn't look very filtered. Off colored orange. Big head at the beginning that dissipated rather quick.
S: Banana , spice, maybe a hint of wheat
T: The spices really hit me in this one, tons of different flavors. The clove and coriander really come out in this one with that slight banana sweetness at the end. Reminds you of an almost flavored banana bread with added spices
F: Nice mouth feel , kinda quick finish. Pretty mid tier dryness
Overall: Solid beer , but nothing to special. I think the finish is what puts me off the most.

Bottled 1/10/17. Maybe not ideal? Still quite good, though.
Pours a hazy yellow . (Like a Pils, but cloudy)
Aroma is of yeasty banana&bubblegum ester, with a very slight spice aroma.
Thick, puffy white head, similar to many Belgian-types that it resembles. Some long-lasting lacing & surface foam.
Flavor is similar to aroma, with slight hop bitterness & fine half-soft/half-prickly carbonation lingering briefly on the tip of the tongue.
Overall, a pleasant offering, and pretty much the same as a Belgian blonde, a la Ommegang Gnomegang. Worth a try.

Huge white, creamy, frothy head that sticks all the way down the glass. Very cloudy grapefruit juice in appearance. Lots of bubble gum, banana, and clove, in the aroma and flavor. Medium thin body, average carbonation, and a little slick in the feel. Very pleasant brew.
