Powder Day Double Dry-Hopped IPA. We started dry-hopping, and it snowballed into a full-on powder day. Notes of citrus, stone fruit, and melon pile high in a blizzard of lupulin powder.

Malt: Munich, Two-row Pale, Wheat
Hops: Amarillo, Chinook, Comet, Citra, Herkules, Idaho 7, Mosaic, Polaris

Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a medium sized head. Smell has a solid malty character. There's some piney and citrus hops as well. Taste has a distinct malt character- butterscotch? But of course there are lots of hops too. Herbal piney hops. Nice crisp mouthfeel. A solid and tasty IPA with a little bit of a unique character.

Yields a slightly clouded golden color with a big, spongy white head.

Got intense aromas of wet grass, fresh squeezed lemon and resinous weed among a drop of caramel and spicy herbs.

Got an unforseen lower initial carbonation level, revealing a well balanced, smooth body, which turns sparkly in the finish.

Tastes of a resinous, sweet and honey accompanied opening, tied together by spicy spruce, dried lime rind and bitter herbs. Turns a tad sweeter then, with caramel and toffee cutting through a herbal hoppiness, amped up by a lighter, well fitting bright fruit impact. Finishes smooth with bread dough, honey dipped hop cones and cake base, entangled into a dry and bitter crispness.

This got a versatile, very enjoyable mouthfeel with a surprisingly „green“ and herb forward nose, which gets mirrored on the palate. Quite unusual and well working, I like this quite a bit.

Powder Day IPA pours a copper color wiht a large, long-lasting, and lacing head. The aroma is clean and crisp, with bright cereal notes. Flavor is a bright cereal foundation with a hint of pine and a good bitter and dry finish. Good feel. Overall, lots of flavors, heavy cereal and hop notes.

LOOK: Pours mostly clear bright gold with a frothy and slightly off-white head with excellent retention, along with some decent lacing on the glass.
AROMA: Light pine, grapefruit, orange peals, and floral esters, along with some underlying sweet malts, a lightly toasted bread. The hops and the malt are well balanced in the aromas.
TASTE: The hop profile is grassy, floral esters, grapefruit, mangos, and lightly toasted breads and biscuits

A little bitter, with medium carbination. A very nice moderatly hopped IPA.

A surprise. This is a fairly full ale, an IPA with limited hops up front…and this is despite being "double-hopped" which of course doesn't tell you how much hops is in play or what kind. It does have the hops oil mouth feel, if that's even possible, of the lupulin. It's balanced! It's not quite complex (nothing sophisticated) but it's really got a sense of bitterness, ethanol bite, and malty body in a three part balance. Drinkable, heck yeah!

A lightly unique ipa. Lite and with a bit of bite,I guess taking a bite of snow on a crisp sunny winter day. But not enough depth for me, no juiciest or even NEIPA or west coast ipa floor, not enough for me or one that I would go back to.

It looked good and smelled good, but the flavor had a lot more spices and yeast elements than I expected. It was almost too dry for a DDH’d IPA, but overall it was good.

Fruity and good. Chewy. Bubblegum. Sweet and flavorful. One/possibly two would be enough for a session with the thick body and ABV. Very good juicy IPA.

I don’t drink too many IPAs recently but I have to admit that I haven’t had such a good one for quite some time! Extremely zesty, fruity and tropical. Candied fruits, pineapple, mango, peaches and the like, all at a very amiable 7.7% ABV, strong and intensive enough to make it feel like straight hop nectar. The double dry hopping really pays off, Sierra made a bullseye decent IPA with this. Really the best I have had in years.
