Pours a dark clear amber with a white head. Smells of pine, hops, citrus, and some light malt. Tastes of fresh and bitter hops, some citrus zest, tons of pine, and very trace malt. Medium in both body and carbonation. Overall a pretty good wet hopped IPA, just not worthy of the very high score in my opinion.

Mad max with Leah's parents. By this time of the night, I've had too much food to really taste this one accurately.

Picked it up at the gift shop in Chico today, and its the first day of this years release. Packaged 4 days ago (9/21/17)... So this beer is incredibly fresh. That wet hop usage really comes through and tastes super green and really rosy and floral. Happy that I got the privilege to try it so quickly. A pretty well rounded and awesome IPA. Cheers!

2009 backlog. 24 oz bottle. 13th release. Aroma of citrus, apricot, pine. Nice amber hue, good head retention and lacing. Nice even balance between malt and hops. Pleasant bitterness. Not as much character as I was expecting, however. Tastes pretty mild for the style. Good IPA, but not as good as their Torpedo or Anniversary Ales (both of which are in the IPA style as well). I was expecting something better than those given the size of the bottle and the touting of the label, but it’s much milder than those beers. Definitely good, just not excellent.

This beer pours a clear amber with a large head. The aroma features bright pine, resin, roast mango, and cannabis. The flavor is mostly full of very fresh pine, with background cannabis, grapefruit peel, cotton candy, and peppercorns. The Mouthfeel is fullish, with foamy carbonation and a sticky finish. Overall this is a very nice fresh hop beer - less oily than some - and very focused.

Rich, caramelly wet hop ale, with some pine and spice notes, but, honestly, one that I would've appreciated more with perhaps less caramel malt and more room for those big fresh hops to shine.
