I am really enjoying this Beer! Love Sierra Nevada's Hoppy approach to this Pilsner. Nice golden straw color. Great nose and taste. Piney Floral flavors are abundant. Well balanced. Wouldn't know that this beer is almost 6% if it didn't say it on the side of the bottle. Really enjoy the resiny mouthfeel that the crystal and pacifica dry hops bring to this beer.

This is a Great Summer Beer! It was over 100 Degrees F. at my house today and this was the perfect beer to sit back and relax with.

Poured from 12oz brown bottle into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. Bottled on date 2168 stamped/lasered on bottleneck. Purchased at Wine Warehouse (Charlotteville, VA).

A: Clear honey golden with 2-finger frothy off-white head with average retention and some thin lace forms.

S: Bready maltiness with some crackery aromas mix with herbal and noble-ish hops character.

T: Bready maltiness with clean malt and light grain character is finished with crisp herbal hoppiness. No alcohol flavor and just a nice clean lager with a bit more heavy maltiness.

M: Borders on overly heavy but low carbonation for a lager does give an interesting feel. Body is clearly heavier without higher ABV which is nice.

O: A nice lager that I wish felt a little lighter but still it brings clean lager flavor with a slightly stronger kiss of hops.

A - Pours a crisp clear light golden/yellow with a nice inch+ of near white head, superior lacing. Solid retention.

S - Slightly sweet malt profile, bready. Grassy hops and an overall crispness.

T - Fairly intense for a pilsner. A classic pilsner for the most part but sierra definitely added a little extra for the hop lovers. Clean, crisp, grassy, and even slightly resinous/grainy

M - Light and refreshing, very drinkable, moderate/appropriate carbonation.

O - Very crisp, clean, easy drinking with a little bit of a bitter kick

Picked up at Bier Thirty... Poured into my slim tulip... very nice sticky white head... the brew is bright clear yellow... good spotty lacing.

Nose is pretty much a standard German pils but with a bit amped up hoppiness... very floral... doughy pils malt aromas.

Flavor mirrors the nose perfectly... crisp and balanced more toward the hoppy side of things... Very clean.

Body may be a touch high... but what do I know? Carbonation seems right on track.

I would by 6'ers of this one over damn near any micro lager any day.

A- Clear pale straw topped with a thin off white head which leaves some spotty lace on the glass.

S- Clean, crisp floral hop notes and not too much else going on.

T- Notes of floral hops balanced out with a backbone of malt. Crisp and clean just like a pilsener should be and with a slightly bitter final note of hops.

M- Light in body and well carbonated, this is a refreshing summer beer, and very clean.

O- Good summer beer and a great representation of the style, I would never have guessed that it was 6.0% ABV even though it is an imperial, the alcohol is well hidden.

A crystal clear yellow/straw color with a thin soapy head and a bit of lacing down the glass. There is a very strong resiny, floral and pine hop aroma coming off the beer with a toasted malt aroma way in the background. Has a very different taste than what the aroma suggests. There is a nice delicate resin, floral and pine hop flavor along with a sweet toasted malt. From the smell you would expect a huge hop flavor, but it is rather nice and tame. Light bodied and low carbonation make this beer very sessionable. When I was thinking Pilsener and I first tasted this beer, it put me off a little. But having a few sips, you get to become accustom to the delicate, albiet strong, hop flavors.

12oz bottle from the recent Beer Camp mixed twelve pack. the box was dated 6/26/12 so this is about a month and a half old. Bright yellow color, clear, looks like a pils to me. Aroma is fruity, cereal, fruity pebbles cereal. Crisp feel to it. Flavor is fruity with a grainy finish that is so damn reminiscent of a bowl of cereal. This is a solid pils and one I would probably buy regularly if it was their summer offering or something.

Part of a SN Beer Camp 2012 12 pack, served chilled in a SN Pint glass

A - pours a clear golden yellow with 3 fingers of puffy white head that has some staying power, slowly fading to a thin lacing

S - barley and hops, a little bit of sweetness, and maltyness in the end

T - good balance of malt and hops, not too sweet

M - a little thick, not to "sticky," very refreshing. No hint of alcohol, little carbonation, very smooth.

O - For me, this was a great example of a pilsner, great for a summer night. My second tasting of this year's Beer Camp definitely does not disappoint.

#BOTG 112! a new one to Houston, SN Beer Camp. One of my favorite releases of the year, looking forward to this one.

Poured from bottle into NB Tulip glass. Pours a crytal clear golden color. Thick white head (about 1/2 a finger) sits on top of a billowing carbonation stream coming up from the bottom of the glass. Great looking beer. Smell- clean grainy pils aroma, some hoppy dank aroma. Overall, just a very clean aroma. Taste- up front some nice buttery and sweet malt flavors. This definitely has a nice malt backbone. Grassy hops, some citrus flavors play later on the finish, maybe a hint of orange peel. Nice dry, crisp finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied. This is a super easy drinking and big pils that I could easily pound back on a summer day. Nicely done, I would drink it often and yr round if it was available.

A: Very clear and clean blonde topped with a billowing white head that leaves sheets of lacing behind... a beautiful pour on a summer day

S + T: A nice balance of graininess with a modest hopping, somewhat grassy on the nose. Some spicy notes are more evident in the flavour.

M + D: Moderate carbonation, not super crisp, but pleasant... about 'just right.' A very clean and easy-drinking beer. If it were not for the alcohol content, I would be very content drinking these all afternoon. Then again, given the alcohol content, I may still be very content drinking these all afternoon.

Had this on 2012-08-08 in Columbia, PA

A - Clear yellow with a 2-finger head and reasonable lacing.

S - Sourdough bread, light touch of citrus and a hint of hop floral. Not overly enticing.

T - Amplified pils-style flavors of malt, yeast and citrus with a goodly amount of hop bud flavor and bitterness. There's a stale tartness towards the end that I didn't love but this passed as it dried into a fairly citrusy and mildly bitter finish. I like their regular Summerfest Pils better.

M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Between crisp and creamy.

O - A decent but not extraordinary brew. I liked it but won't seek out more once I finish the rest of the bottles in this pack. I like their Summerfest Pils better.

I grabbed a mixed 6 pack for ticking purposes... This seemed like a worthy tick (at least compared to the interminable dross the shelves held).

Bottle into dimpled mug.

What makes me think of spruce? Floral and spicy hops are quite prominent, and perhaps a touch of mint that reminds me of tea in a strange way...
Very very mild bitterness. Just a light touch of sweetness up front. Little boozy bite in the aftertaste.

Looks good: golden yellow body with a fizzy 2 finger head.

Decent feel, good carbonation level, little oily hop residue lingers.

Overall- looks and feels pretty good... Smells and tastes a little odd. I wouldn't buy this again.

A - bright yellow with some carbonation rising to the top and a thick, dense, white head with great retention

S - grainy, spicy, herbal

T - grainy, spicy, herbal, a bit grassy, a hint of lemon

M - medium bodied, warm, smooth, well carbonated

This is a decent, easy to drink beer. The hop character keeps things interesting though it's a bit spicier than most Pilsners. It's also a bit grainy but nonetheless, it's definitely worth a try.
