A: Poured from a stubby 12oz. bottle into a pint glass. A nice 1.5-finger, foamy head formed. Spicy brown mustard-colored with a thick haze you can't see through and a heavy effervescence. No lacing to speak of.

S: Big aroma: banana-nut muffin, coriander and other spices, some berry notes, walnuts and zucchini bread.

T: A really nice combination of flavors on the front and middle form into a swallow that tastes like they've been rolled into bread dough and thrown in your mouth raw. Nice sequencing of flavors. It starts with strong banana nut flavors and adds spiciness as it travels back in your mouth. You get some dried fruit notes mixed in on the swallow with a bready, yeasty taste left after the finish. A bit hot on the swallow, which is surprising for a <7% abv beer, but you could get a taste of alcohol.

M: Creamy, crisp, bubbly, multi-textured and always appealing, though overall it's a touch thin.

O: This is a really good tasting weizenboch that proves a fantastic alternative to other beers of a similar style. It's complex enough to make you think, but once your done thinking it is simple enough to not get in the way of enjoying one.

This pours a cloudy dark orange, almost brown. The head is very big, but light. There is great lacing and soapy retention. The smell is kind of spicy and sweet. The flavor is very pungent and sweet. This whole beer feels pretty heavy and complex. There is some citrus present here, but I really just taste a lot of soapy sweetness. Upon buying the beer camp 12 pack, I knew this beer would be the weak link for me. I just don’t like any of these cloudy wheat style beers. I don’t really like any wheat or white beers as a rule. I will certainly try them if presented and I can enjoy them for their different uniqueness, but you won’t see me reaching for these styles in the beer isle.

I poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a standard pint. Light orange pour with a moderate, sticky white head. The nose has hints of bannana bubblelisous bubble gum, and cloves. The beer is full of banana and clove, it finishes with lingering clove. The body is moderate, good carbonation, easy drinking. A good beer, very enjoyable.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle bought as a part of the Beer Camp Series into my Franziskaner weiz glass. Hazy, yellowish orange color. The ABV is marked on the label.
This beer has very good carbonation
Nice one finger foamy head with very good retention.
Aroma is a mild beautiful blend of fruity esters, specifically banana aroma (isoamyl acetate), spices (nutmeg/coriander mix) and yeast.
Super crisp and refreshing weizenbock. Absolutely delicious.
This is probably one of the best beer of it's kind I have ever had.
Leaves behind some very good lacing all along the glass.
Very good drinkability with this one. You can suck one of these down before you know it.
Another solid brew from one of my favorite breweries.
This is a must try for every weiz beer lover. Highly recommended.

A- Pours a hazy orange, with a slightly bigger than half finger firm white head. There is some lacing.
S- There is a banana, clove, peach, and apricot aromas. It's mostly just banana at first but as it warms it gets more complex on the nose.
T- It's initially banana and spice, but this gives way to a peachy note. The finish has kinda of a Belgian Pale quality to it.
M- A bit light for the style but it's not too much so. It's a bit sticky in the finish.
O- A pretty enjoyable beer. I'd like to have this again.

Pours a hazy orange gold with very active carbonation. 2-finger head, leaving just a trace of foam by the end of the glass. Oddly shaped fingers of lace on the back half of the glass.

Nose is all bananas and cream. Light hint of spice, maybe nutmeg.

Big malty, yeasty flavor. Bananas and cream carry through to the taste profile with a stronger hint of spice in the finish. Bit of roasted marshmellow coming in at the end.

Creamy without being cloying. Just a hint of fizz.

Overall, not bad but my least favorite of the Beer Camp 12 pack.

Bottle into Sam Adams sensory glass.

Pours super cloudy, murky orange-brown-gold, with a creamy, thin off-2hite head on top. Nice lacing, though head quickly fades to a thin, soapy cap.

Nose is packed with graham crackers, banana pudding, candied orange citrus. and cloves. Light alcohol. Definitely on the sweet side.

Taste is definitely way on the sweet side - wow. Sweet, citrusy, more graham crackers, more banana pudding - bananas and vanilla are huge players, though this time infused with a dose of juicy, candied clementine citrus - with the citrus moving towards lemonheads on the long finish. Not entirely unbalanced, but certainly sweet enough that I would consider it almost candy-like.

Mouthfeel is medium-full in body, softly carbonated, a bit sticky. Sugar comes through in the feel just like in body.

Overall, a nice entry, though not quite what I expected - the sweetness of this one kind of overwhelms the balance provided by the phenolics a bit. Could certainly be a good bit dryer, though not bad as is.

Poured into a shaker pint. Pours a nice and super cloudy orangy hay color with a nice white head and lacing.

Aroma has tons of cloves. Slight bit of banana.

Taste is the same as aroma. Tons of cloves. Bit of banana. Almost a triple yeasty taste.

Mouthfeel is full bodied. Good carb.

Overall a tasty beer. Not one of my fondest styles of beer but this one is one well crafted version.

S: Spicy clove mostly, some bananas, some stone fruits, cinnamon as well.

L: Very cloudy golden yellow, creamy white head with ok retention, good lacing.

T: Spicy clove like malt with an underriped banana component. Prominent medium bitterness leads to a fairly dry spicy finish. Some fruit perhaps, surprisingly bitter.

M: Medium bodied, medium high prickly carbonation.

Really solid, a nice fruity component with the traditional hefe aromas and flavors.

This beer is pretty much right on target for the style. There's a nice balance of wheaty bite and malty chewiness, with a noticeable and fairly appealing booziness in there too. Somewhat sweet. This isn't exactly Aventinus but it's certainly pretty credible. Don't know how drinkable you could consider this one with it's big boozy flavor, somewhat sticky mouthfeel and high ABV. One is enough! Still, if you're in the mood for a Weizenbock this one will fit the bill nicely.

12 oz into a snifter...this is by far my favorite of the beer camp beers, really an awesome brew...big straw yellow cloudy body with generous head. Tons of nose of wheat and yeast funk...they nailed both the weizen and the bock, so to speak...I mean nailed it, it's great, with just enough noble hops to balance it and nothing more. It's very rare that I would say this about the aroma of an American edition of a German style, but it competes with the best Germans. Taste follows suit, with big wheat and fruity characteristics. Mouthfeel is robust, energetic and quite simply, flawless. Overall, try it if you find it. Great beer.

Pours a classic hazed golden orange into a globe glass from a 12 oz. bottle. More pale than many of the style. Offers an inch of creamy foam with decent retention and good lace. While the cap does settle out somewhat there is adequate carbonation to kick up a good surface film at any time.

Aroma is spicy with clove and some light pepper notes along with a bit of banana and a lemon drenched wheaty bready aroma. Flavor continues with a wheaty lemon twang on the finish along with a light yeast funk. Nice full body with a spicy finish and with a good carbonation though perhaps a bit light for the style. Overall pretty solid offering though not as vibrant as it was fresh, losing a bit on the aroma and the back end. But then not likely preserved as many German bottled versions likely are.

A cloudy gold-orange brew sits in the glass while a fluffy finger-and-a-half of yellow-tinted head. There's a sturdiness to it, and some patchy lacing is dropped on the glass as the beer recedes.
Plenty of banana in the nose here belie the yeast strain, and other yeast elements come out: clove, light dusty sort of earthiness, and a hint of bubble gum. Gentle spiciness is underlying, breads and caramel added from the malts finishing it out. There's a honey note and a bit of quality dark liquor coming out more as it sits, and more of a slight citrus element in the flavor. A very light floral note lets us know yes, there are some hops in here.
Smoothness makes this beer easy sipping. There's a light nip of crispness up front. Carbonation is moderate in about a medium body.
Some good stuff from the Beer Campers here.

Golden orange haze. Decent head retention.

Smells spicy sweet with cloves and a hint of banana.

Flavor is nice. Rich clovey banana with a velvety mouthfeel. Reminds me of a weird and spicy banana cream. Taste and mouthfeel are by far the most interesting aspects of this beer.

12oz Bottle, Rogue Pint Glass.

A: Pours a hazy straw orange color that's opaque, with big fluffy, creamy & soapy off white head that has good retention. Good carbonation.

S: Best description; it smells like a non-funky Tripel mixed with a fantastic wheat beer. Banana, banana cream, spices and clove come to the forefront, with tons of heff yeast and wheat characters as well. Honey, light pear flavors, and crystal malt sweetness hover underneath.

T: Tons of wheat, banana and banana cream on the forefront, with sweet bready malt character and some candy sugar-like flavors. There is a little spice but no bitterness really, and the only others flavors are light honey and hints of mild green fruit.

MF: Unimpressive but solid. Wet, a little creamy. Not really sticky or dry. Medium body, good carbonation.

O: Honestly impressed; this is a great lighter beer, with nice sweeter flavors and a smooth finish.
