On cask at Toronados

A: Copper color with an incredibly creamy eggshell-colored head. Nice lacing down the glass.

S: Floral and very perfume-like. A slight bit of candied peaches as well.

T: And here's where it went wrong. As a previous review stated, the beer was a bit warm, which just felt wrong with this one for some reason. The taste was really bland and malt dominated. A slight bit of nuttiness but not much else and the finish was super watery. Probably wouldn't do this one again.

Firkin at Toad in the Hole.

P: Clear copper body with a creamy, brown tinged head. Tightly packed bubbles.

A: Toasted malts with some minerality. Lemon hop aromas, with some floral tones as well. A tad soapy.

T: Malts lead the way, with flavors of caramel and toffee. Smooth drinking with a great transition to a light, simple hop profile. Some lemon tones and a good amount of floral flavors. Dry with a minerality akin to Burton on Trent.

A great session ale. Smooth and easy drinking, just enough depth to keep it interesting. Highly enjoyable.

A - Served a super clear golden-copper color with a thin covering of sticky white lace. The lace fades down leaving behind some nice lacing.

S - Aroma is a nice balance of sweet caramel malts and some citrus and floral hops. There is also just a touch of bready smells in the background.

T - Starts off with a mix of sweet caramel malts and some citrus hops and light bitterness. Through the middle, the sweetness grows a bit with some bready flavor joining in and some floral hops as well. The finish is a nice balance of sweet caramel malts and hops that linger just a bit.

M - Medium-light bodied with mild carboantion. The beer felt very smooth with a really refreshing mouthfeel.

D - Super drinkable. Very nice malt and hop balance and a super sessionable beer.

A - BIG foamy white Head but thats kinda normal for a cask pour. Big lace from the head. Copper amber.

S - Kinda citrus like an ipa but way toned down, some nutty bready stuff going on. Some maltyness and some sweeter things come to mind.

T - Taste is first met with some ipa/session ale like notes, fruity and kinda floral but really toned down into a drinker session status. Kind of a baby ipa. But then agian its not even an ipa.

M - Cask was warm, low carbed, and really foamy.

O - Overall I finished this one fast because it was not what I wanted/expected. But... if you like hoppy session ales... then it might be good. But then again Toronado served it pretty warm and with a big head.... so it was more like a 3/4 pint warm and kinda lame.
