Comes across as a heartier than average yellow/gold for a pilsner. Aroma was a lively fresh noble hop, and maybe even some Cascade.
Taste was plenty clean, pilsen malt light, mega loaded carbonation. Dry finish. Clean yeast profile. Lacking any Euro skunk. Couldn't tell this and nooner apart really.
Nothing wrong with it. Order it for your friend who isn't into beer. Or yourself if you're into nuanced lighter shade of beer.

A - This beer pours a clear golden color, and has a 2-finger snow white head on it. the head had good retention, and left good lacing on the glass. There were quite a bit of carbonation bubbles visible.
S - The smells is of pilsner malts and citrus hops. There is also a decent citrus presence.
T - The taste is of grainy malts and noble hops. Also there is a citrusy bite, and a bit of bitterness that comes in at the finish.
M - It has a medium body and medium carbonation. It has a bit of a bitter feel to it, and the carbonation is a bit prickly.
D - This has very good drinkability. It is a very easy beer to drink. I would have no problem putting down a large quantity of this. It is a lot better than most of the pilsners I have had so far. There is also more of a hop presence and fuller body than I'm used to in a normal pilsner. I like this beer a lot, and I think it should be more readily available. I think this would be a great transition beer for a lot of BMC drinkers.

Had this on tap at the brewhouse. Dark yellow. Aroma was spritzy.
Taste was largely missing, wasn't bad, just was so rudimentary compared to all their other stuff. This was clean and spritely and all, but I want their Cascade flavor I've come to know and love, style be damned!
Definitely dry. Nobles weren't spicy. Lager yeast was relatively clean. Good stuff, not awe inspiring by any means.

On draft at the Blind Tiger, NYC.
Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell consisted of an assertive noble hop and a grainy malt.
The taste was a pleasant mix of noble hops and clean grainy malts
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a tasty spicy pils.

Golden straw body with outstanding clarity. Naturally rocky white foam collar exhibits excellent staying power. Nose is clean and crisp with light malt at the forefront.
Entry is quiet and imparts a refreshing mouthfeel using restrained zippiness. Midtaste showcases the malts prior to the hops ushering in a clean, crisp finish.
Quite simply...a very, very nice light lager.

I have always thought that this is one of the few US Pilsners I have tried that does a good job replicating the German/Czech style.
Light, straw golden color. This beer has a subtle citrus flavor, with a smooth taste, and a little hop flavor on the finish. Good easy drinking beer, especially in the warm Northern California summers. I actually prefer this over the Summerfest... but just barely.

A treat to try this one on SN night @ Hop Devil Grill in NYC, also always a treat to have EyeDrinkAle Mike as your bartender! Anyway this one poured the expected straw/golden amber, with a white fine bubble head, that left oodles of fine lacing and sheeting. Crisp, dry, pilsner like, with a nice German drying hop bite, refreshing, clean and tasty, fine summer quaffer.

Enjoyed on tap 12/9/02. The color was more a weak amber than a yellow straw or golden sun color. The head was of medium white dense character, but quickly dissipated. What was most surprising to me, especially being an SN brew, was the overwhelming aroma and taste of the malts. Their presense totally dominated the taste and flavor; the hops were merely in a cameo role. Although a disappointment to me, it is a drinkable brew. It is clear that SN knows there ales, but needs help in brewing lagers.
