Notes: This unique take on the traditional IPA style pairs the bold and intense aromas of whole-cone hop "flowers" with aromatic natural rose hips and petals for complex aromas and unexpected flavors.

12 ounce bottle poured into a Sweetwater tulip. Hazy light amber with decentish amount of frothy light tan head and even better lacing, a thickish ring up top with drippy patches down below.

According to the Julian date, this has been in the bottle just over 2 months, but aromawise, the floral hopping seems to be pretty much neck and neck with the roses here. As it warms, Torpedolike piney/leafy/grassiness looms underneath.

Even at this "advanced" age, it's quite aggressive for an English IPA, and I'm digging it. Thickish and quite flavorful, with a nice focus up front on the floral qualities of the beer. However... the lingering leafy and pine Torpedo combo is defintely a "this side of the pond" exclamation point. Simple bready malt backbone that lets the hops and roses do their thing. Am I the Ugly American if I say this "Americanized" version of an English IPA is my favorite one to date??

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass, bottled 217 of 12. Pours a hazy orange, with a one inch sticky white head that leaves nice lace. Smell is spicy citrus tangerine and grapefruit, pine, grass, and mango. Taste is really well balanced, with some bitter grapefruit in the finish. Body is medium, plenty of carbonation, not overly dry, and very drinkable. This very nice, not earth shattering, but well made. Love the beer camp series, some of the best beers ever put in a mix 12.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Dogfish Head Signature glass

A: Mostly clear amber hued orange color. Aggressive pour leads to a one finger head. Lacing is spotty but existent and consistent.

S: lots of floral hops as the name would suggest. Reminds me of flower power but a touch less potent. Malt is relatively subdued.

T: Brings similar flavors to the nose. Lots of floral hops yet again with a touch of pine hops - Malt is subdues here as well.

M: Pretty thin. Amply carbonated. Definitely the low light of the beer

O: Should. Easy drinker. Good all around IPA.

Serving Type - Bottle

Appearance - Dark tanish brown, almost closer to a rye then a ipa. Thick foamy 3+ inch head and tons of lacing.

Smell - Well yea, as expected, very floral, lots of pineapple, grapes, orange, you know, all the main ipa aroma of fruits. Sweet sugars, and a even some malts.

Taste - Got the floral fruits but much more malt profile then the smell lead me to believe. Has a dank, bitter hop flavor, much like a wet hop. Some sweet yeasty notes that add sugary sweetness. Some spices with a pepper flavor round this out.

Mouthfeel - Fairly bitter for the tounge and palate. Malts do come in to mellow things out some. No alcohol to speak of.

Overall - Pretty good, just nothing to set this apart from the rest. Plenty enough flavor for being just under 6%, gives this a session feel. Work a drink, espically in the beer camp 12-pack.

A- a slightly hazy golden amber with a fair amount of head. nothing out of the ordinary.

S- slight biscuit malts bust predominately floral hops (go figure) and a little bit of sweetness. A sweetness reminecent of garden variety clove honey.

T- opens with hop bitterness and bready malts. Spicy hops. this is as dry as Torpedo but without the IBU or ABV. The rose hips and pedals are definately in the finish.

M- pretty dry for an IPA, but not too dry. A good amount of carbonation. very simlar mouthfeel to Torpedo.

O- this is a good beer, as expected from this brewery; but still the weakest in this variety pack.. I haven't had the stout yet, but my guess is that it will steal the show.
