It has a golden body with a decent white head and average lace. It has a crisp hopped aroma that is just slightly grainy. The taste is grassy but has slight malt sweetness and is much like the smell. The mouthfeel is average and light with some carbonation. It is a pretty average beer.

Golden clear with vigorous but vanishing head and no lace. The smell is hops, sulfur, and sweet malt all fighting. I thought it was very unpleasant, and the taste is grainy with that same fighting characteristic and a bitterness.
The sweet ending is pretty pleasant, however, and that together with the well-carbonated mouthfeel bumps the drinkability by a bit--I suppose it could be refreshing under the right circumstances, and it's cheap!

Appearance: Served in the traditional German half liter bottle with a serve by date. Creamy head with good vigorous bubble. Pale crisp
Smell: Deffinate notes of hoppiness and maltiness almost fighting for attention. Bitterness seems to stand out more. Slight hint of sulfur
Taste: Not the best of flavors. Slightly sweet at the end but not enough to really show a good brew. Too competitive not balanced
Mouthfeel: Medium body and carbonation traditional for the brew however too weak
Overall: Not a good example of an export. Too many things competing for your taste and smell make this not recommended

Brown 0.5 litre bottle bought in Berlin and flown home to the UK for this tasting session.
Golden pilsner/German Export colour, poured into my Veltins tulip glass, which is my standard German beer tasting glass. Good white foaming head, like most Exports/pilsners it does not stay for very long.
No real aroma, barley and wheat maybe.
Pilsner taste more than Export to me, still nice and refreshing, but no hint of the 5.5% strenght.
Slightly disappointing mouthfeel which in turn effects the drinkability score. I would love to try this next to the Berliner Kindl Pilsner, so I could compare them.
To sum up, nothing wrong with this beer but no great shakes either.
