There is more than one place you can get beer in Devils Lake. If you ask the locals where to get the best selection of beer The Liquor Locker is their overwhelming response.
Liquor Locker is not on the main road going through town, you actually have to take a one minute drive into the business district. It's well worth the trip.
As you enter the store you will notice a wide variety of wines and liquors to your left. To the right and at the rear of the store are the beers.
A good regional selection with Boulevard, Stite, Rough Rider, Big Sky, Anchor, Sierra Nevada, Grain Belt, Henry Wienhards and Pyramid being some of the beers that caught my eye.
Also present are selections from Samuel Smith, Warstiener, Red Stripe and a few good brews from Canada.
The store is clean and very well lit. The staff is friendly and very helpful. While I was in there the first time they were having a sidewalk sale. They also were having a free tasting of the latest brews from Rough Rider.
If you are in town and looking for the best selection of quality brews this is the place to go.
