S: Roasted malt;

T: Too syrupy, roasted malt and toffee;

Light brown copper color with a thin head with short retention.
Aroma with notes of chocolate, mild cinnamon, nuts and caramels.
Flavor with notes of chocolate, earthy and spicy hops, mild wood and coffee, sweet nuts and caramel. Dry aftertaste with a low bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Vienna Lager more on the mild side with good spicy notes, but it lacks some depth and complexity. Though very refreshing and sessionable.

A: Pours a nice amber color, a small head formed and lasted a few minutes. Some lacing down the side of the glass.

S: Some roasted malt, a little bit of hops, and some caramel.

T: The roasted malts come through on the taste, there is a slight hop presence, with a sweet finish.

M/D: Medium bodied. Not a bad offering from Minerva here. Not the best, but better than a lot of the beer from Mexico.

A beer that is like the XX amber, but with the advantge that is made from a microbrewery.

Good color, very german taste, round and little hoppy;

basic for the mexican cuisine, like cabrito or panzate.

Serve in a pilsner glass, and look its marvelous color and carbonation.

75% recommended.

355ml bottle. 100% malt, is all I get from the Spanish-only label. Sounds good to me.

This beer pours a clear, medium golden amber colour, with two fingers of frisky and foamy ecru head, which leaves a span of Tim Burton nightmare lace around the glass as it evenly settles.

It smells of lightly roasted caramel malt, some dark tangy fruit, and earthy, musty hops. The taste is tempered caramel malt, some bready toffee character pulling things away from any sugary sweetness overload, with some decent leafy and other forest ester hops balancing things out for the most part.

The carbonation is a tad prickly at the outset, but swiftly delves into a steady, underlying soft hiss, the body somewhat short of middleweight, but not egregiously so, and makes up for that picky shortcoming with its straightforward smoothness. It finishes fairly off-dry, the bready malt still quite strong, and the hops showing little staying power.

Well, Mexico is notable of late as a producer of this almost lost style, and this example doesn't disappoint, nor does it enthrall, but I don't think that's the point - simple drinking pleasures are the focus here, and for that, credit is due.

341ml bottle poured into pint glass 4/5/12

A clear bronze whit lots of bubbles feeding a thumbs width of well retained off white foam that leaves a couple partial tings of lace

S some earthy hops and tea bag with a handful of pennies, there's some honey and some fruity notes

T the pennies are gone and more of a herbal aspect, decent beer but not mind blowing

M medium bodied with good carbonation faint aftertaste of earthy hops lingers faintly

O respectable stuff and probably the best beer I've had from Mexico

I could drink a few of these under a hot sun, nothing amazing but considering how bad all the Mexican beers are that I've had so far this is a nice change of pace

Minerva is one of the very few craft breweries I've found in Mexico and they deserve full accolades for going up against the omnipresent "big guys".

This "Viena" has a lot more flavour that its macro counterparts. It is exceptionally malty, with a nice dry finish. And stunningly, I can not taste corn : a non-adjunct Mexican lager!

Clear dark amber with an aesthetically pleasing off-white head. The aroma is much sweeter than the taste, which is bitterer than expected.

All in all, a delightful change from other lagers. Not at the same "level of excellence" as Minerva's stout, but still definitely worth trying!

A very nice Oktoberfest inspired beer.

It is a brown reddish beer with almost no head that vanishes quickly.

Smell is malty, and roasty.

It tastes good, with a nice touch of spices and bitterness.

A nice beer that reminds me from Victoria, only that this one is made from better malts.
