From 32gp. In Teku glass. Playing Shantae and the pirate's curse. Fruity, sweetness, high drinkability. Really balanced. Didnt drank very fresh and still really good.

Poured from an 11.2 oz bottle without date into the modified tulip glass.
A - Honey colored, aggressive carbonation tops out with a big white cap.
S - A bit musty, earthy grains, floral components are mild citrus, and notes of honeysuckle, and summer.
T - Following the nose perfectly the offering, starts a bit sweet, moves toward a level of bitterness, with a lingering finish.
F - Medium in body, a dry run across the palate, and a fine touch of sweetness as it exits.
O - A wonderful offering, age on this bottle has impacted the flavors in a good way, carbonation is perfect.
Worth seeking out.

Poured from a 12.7 ounce bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip. Picked up from a local bottle shop in State College, age unknown.

L: Pours a cloudy dark copper golden color. Insanely carbonated... overflowing foamy white head leaves sticky lacing.

S: Malty and sweet... a little spice.

T/F: Bready and malty. Surprisingly rich and grainy. The hop profile was woefully lacking. A bit of spice and pepper... a little herbal, but no significant bitterness. Some citrus notes. Overly carbonated and fizzy... and a bit sticky on the tongue.

O: It may have been a freshness issue, but this was a rather subpar IPA. Lacking in hop profile... and way overcarbonated. It fizzed over immediately upon cracking the bottle, with maybe 1/4 of the pour left on the countertop. I'd try it again if I could be sure that it was fresh. Fun for the novelty (an Italian IPA) but was not impressed.

330ml bottle poured into a teku glass.

Hazy orange amber in color, the pour quickly builds up massive white fluffy head that is here to stay with exceptional retention. It just slowly dissipates to a layer of eternal foamy crown along with plenty of refined yet sticky lacing patch and spot along the way, very good showcase.

The aroma is so hoppy with its fruity citrus, juicy, sharp lemon, tropical fruit, ripe mango, pine, resin, some earthy and some spice. Malt is there in the undertone with notes of bread and slight caramel.

The taste is quite balance with hop flavors at the upper layer ranging from citrus, lemon, mango, tropical fruit, pine, resin, earthy, spice, and moderate bitterness. Malt is at the lower layer with some sweetness, grain, and breadiness to partially balance the bitterness from hop.

Medium body with rather smooth mouthfeel and crisp carbonation through the palate, tons of carbonation sweeps through the palate with its numerous bubble waves, dry finish.

Yes, the Italian nailed it. Good American IPA offering from Birra Del Borgo, so, what are we waiting for?

Found this on tap at Bir & Fud in the Trastevere district of Rome. It was the ONLY beer I found in Italy which I would truly call an IPA (there were a lot of other swings & misses!). The nose is a wonderful perfume of oranges and vanilla. The flavor is a little flat and heavy but with sweet orange blossom up front and a smooth vanilla finish. The hops were used with restraint, so the citrus qualities are loud & proud, but there is little to no bitterness in the finish. This is a beautiful Pale Ale which I would proudly serve to my IPA-geek friends in the US! It was also a very welcome reminder of home during a long hot trip.

Gold amber, with a massive pearl white head that is just waiting to overflow if you give it just a quarter ounce too much fluid.

Spicy aromatic pine is up front, then citrusy orange rind, along with a tasty cedar undertone as well.

These aromas all come through powerfully in the flavor, with a slight lager malt finish at the very tail end.

a decent shot at America IPA done in Italy, many of the necessary traits needed, good looking color with a slight orange hue great head and impressive lacing, smell was hoppy and notes of citrus, taste was light but steady with a true PA sense and very dry , very slight citrus on front and the hoppy length with a mild bitterness, feel was mild carbonation not heavy and no traits of alcohol, overall not bad, actually pretty good. if they keep perfecting their craft they will get there.

Bought it at Eataly NYC. Pours to decent permanent head and hazy gold color. Aroma is more of an APA: clean sweet malt and citrus hops. Flavor is more of an APA. Balanced and clean. It has a mineral aftertaste that I like. The beer may be a bit old but it tastes good.
