light straw color is not particularly inviting, nor is the light malt nose. Light carbonation, light hop and light malt make for a very well balanced and easy drinking ipa that is not particularly double in abv or flavor but subtly comforting warming and Kern

22oz bottle, thanks to Gorefiendus!

A - Pours a copper rutsy color, white head, thin collar, whisps.

S - Bitter hops, sweet caramel malts, big tropical sweetness.

T - Hops, tropical citrus, dank sweetness, slight toasty malts.

M - Light to medium, good carbonation, oily finish.

O - A solid DIPA but well have review again once the next batch comes out.

Pours a beige head. Color is a clear dark golden orange.

Aroma: Weedy and floral. Grassy. Bready malts. A lot of grapefruit.

Taste: Sticky, weedy hops. Hop resiny. Grapefruit. Some bready malts.

Mouthfeel: Bitter and sticky. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends very sticky.

Overall, this was a good beer, but I don't see how this is top 100. Solid offering, but nothing earth shattering. Citra is a much better beer.

Pours a light golden orange. Big white frothy foam head.

Smells overwhelmingly of bittering, pungent, almost floral/overwhelming grapefruit rind with a smidgen of generalized citrus and a hint of pine.

Taste is a blistering assault of pure grapefruit rind ... really no lush tropical or fruit flavors to found, just straight-forward bitter citrus with some pine. No malt content, at all. Kind of disappointed in that, as this beer needs some balance. If you're going to be this hop forward, at least a bit of complexity to the hops would be nice.

Okay. Drinkable.

Slightly hazy gold-amber with a moderate off-white froth that fades to a thin blanket and some sticky random lace.

The aroma is a wonderful bouquet that hits you three feet away from the glass while pouring--tangerine, vanilla, fresh, delicate pine, slight dankness.

This beer is delicious, with grapefruit, lemon, orange, cracker, biscuit, pine, and Sweet Tarts notes all at once. It seems the West Coast version of a "Winter Ale" is damn near a NE IPA...?!?!?!

Quite a good amount of froth, with a medium body, and a dry finish.
