Bought a couple of bombers yesterday ($5.00 ea) at Smuttynose. Giving one a shot while enjoying a beautiful day out in The 'Zebo....

Poured some into a becher glass....It's a clear, medium golden color, with some scattered, slow-moving carbo meandering topside. Head is a very thin layer of fine, white suds. There is a bit of lacing sticking around, though not in abundance. Aroma is very bready, with a touch of toast added in. Has a hint of spiciness also. It's quite smooth on the tongue, with only minimal prickle, and the body is a good medium.

Has solid maltiness leading off, with toasty caramel and some bready action present. It's very clean and crisp, and a touch on the dry side. Has some floral hopping and, like the aroma, a suggestion of spiciness. Very well made, and easily sessionable. Prosit!!

Draught @ Hayseed Pub: This one pours a darker golden color. There was a small white head and some lacing. Good nose. Malts and some earthiness. The taste is good. Malty, a little bit of spice and some earthiness. Nice!

From the bottle, it pours a lovely amber with a not-oktoberfest typical small head, soon dissipating. Typical malt in the nose. Typical malt forward in the mouth. Oktoberfest type body.

Gold color. Thick white head that was a little sticky. Lots of carbonation, so the head remained throughout.
Bready, caramel aroma.
Similar taste. Maybe a little toast.
Light-bodied, easy drinking beer.

Bottled In August 2015

A: Pours a golden orange color with half a fingers worth of head that fades down to nothing

S: Some husky grain, light caramel, bready malt, and a bit of toast up front. Very light fruitiness in the back

T: Starts off with some bready caramel maltiness and goes into some toasty and husky notes. Fruity undertones flow through as well. Some floral hops come through towards the end as well. Finishes with more general maltiness

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A very solid American Oktoberfest, nice and hearty while remaining quite drinkable. Definitely pick some up if you're a fan of the style

From the 22 oz bottle. Sampled on October 10, 2015.

Golden amber pour under a modest delicate white head. Busy carbonation.

The aroma screams caramel and cooked malts. Low to no bitterness found.

The body is smooth and medium.

Very sweet caramel malt taste to start and there is an unexpected earthy bitterness at the end for a moment. Enjoyable.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass. Pours a light orange, with a one inch white head that leaves behind little lace.

Smell is caramel, pepper, raisin, fig, and clove.

Taste follows the nose very well, lots of tasty malt and a little hit of spicy hops, loads of flavor in this one, and a oak and vanilla finish that I wasn't expecting.

Body is bigger than average, not overly carbonated, a little dry, and very drinkable.

Overall this is really solid, 8 years ago this one of my favorite styles, before I got bit by the hop bug. Fans of the style will love this.

S: Some caramel

T: Good amount of caramel. Bready, toasty notes as well.

F: Clean and crisp. Very smooth. Light to medium bodied.

O: A solid fall, oktoberfest beer, much like the official ones.

22oz bottle poured into a seidel.

A: Light golden-orange color with good clarity. Rocky off-white head retains at a solid three fingers after a vigorous pour. Net-like lacing.

S: Sweet, bready, and lightly grainy malt flavors. Hay. Subtle and vague fruitiness. Grassy, floral, and herbal/spicy hops. Touch of yeast. Clean.

T: Sweet and grainy/bready malt flavors. Hay. Grassy and herbal hops. Nutty at times, and perhaps a bit of yeast.

M: Medium body. Round malt feel with a slight chewiness. Fine-bubbled, crisp carbonation adds a bite.

O: A really solid effort. This is a pretty great Oktoberfest. Approaching the bigger side of the style spectrum, but still quaffable. Hits all the marks and doesn't fail to satisfy. Can't ask for anything more.

Pours a dark golden straw color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly
smells of muted spices and freshly cleaned lederhosen
tastes matches the nose but more pronounced
Feel is just right with perfect carbonation and crisp clean finish with a bit of spice lingering on the taste buds
overall the beer exceeds the sum of its parts due to the seasonality of it and the excellent experience at the brewery.
