This is my 2600th review.

Pours a very nice dark cloudy golden brown color, very nice carbonation, very nice creamy one-finger plus off-white head, with tons of sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, with some nuttyness, slight roastyness. The taste is malty, but with a sour note, some hops thrown in. Medium body with a slight dry/bitter finish. The sourness is throwing me off and has me disappointed.

L: Pours brilliant dark amber under a clingy 1” cream colored foam collar. S: Malt, faint chocolate T: Malt, a hint of sweetness up front, some nuttiness and grain in the middle, light chocolate notes, dries on the finish. Moderate hop accent and light astringency on the finish. F: Creamy and refreshing with medium body and slightly below average carbonation. O: Easy to drink but no outstanding.

Picked this up because it had a Bobcat on the label.

Clear brown colored ale with a small tan colored head. It is an agreeable color.

Smells Smells malty with a clear scent of caramel. Faint chocolate and coffee scents. Faint tobacco leaf hop scent.

Starts out malty with a good taste of caramel to start it off. Mild coffee and grain husk taste it is slightly astringent and woody. Strong tea flavor and a little more bitter than I thought is was after the first taste. Still is has a mild yet not boring taste.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall an OK ale, wouldn't want more than two of them at a time though.

Attractive chestnut brown in the tall water glass. Modest foam that doesn't last particularly well. It starts off with acceptable carbonation but turns flat before the glass is finished. A little aroma of roasted grain.

This has a peculiar herbal flavor that sticks in the back of the throat. Just a little browned taste. Light and a little dishwatery. Not much of a beer, considering that Red Rocks makes plenty of interesting and enjoyable brews.

From the 500 ml bottle bought from the friendly folks at the Utah State liquor store in Sugar House.

Appearance: Pours a clear chestnut brown with a rocky ecru head that leaves strands of lacing

Smell: Brown bread and a hint of floral hop tones

Taste: Brown bread, up front, with the hops adding bitterness, in the middle; the finish is somewhat tea-like and sour, with the malts fading

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Just OK; the finish is out of balance - the beer would be much better with a bigger malt bill and less residual bitterness

Thanks, benkuhns, for the opportunity

Malty aroma has a spicy note, mainly cloves and cinnamon, and a hint of molasses. Pours a clear chestnut brown with a decent light tan head. Malty flavor has a woody, grassy hops overtone and subtle notes of brown sugar and cloves. Smooth, firm texture has plenty of strong fizz, leaving a fizzy, hoppy, slightly spicy finish. This cat definitely will mouse!
