This was my second visit to RedRock over a roughly 9 year span. Both times it was very crowded. Especially this time around at 9:30 on a Sunday night.

RedRock plays well with the liquor laws handed to them in the state. All beers are 3.2% except a special bottled barrel-aged 10% Belgian they were selling for on site consumption in 750 ML bottles (they had to sell them to the state and buy them back to sell at the restaurant). I didn't pull the trigger on one of these because I noticed it at the end of my meal.

They had about 10 beers available. This was late March and they had a couple of Irish-style beers available (red and scottish). My wife had the unfiltered hefe and I had an Abbey and oatmeal stout that was a recommended pairing with the warm goat cheese salad.

The Abbey and Hefe were both very well done. The Oatmeal Stout lacked a good finish.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all above average compared to the hundreds of brewpubs I've had the opportunity to visit.

Besides having great beer, the food here is great. My wife doesn't drink beer, but always wants to come here just for the food. The pub/restaurant is awesome, and the only part that prevents me from giving it five stars is that parking is limited, and there are a lot of vagrants in the area.

Been here many time. Food and beer is really good, but some of those UT laws can fuck it up.

I've been a long time fan of Redrock. They are one of the most underrated brewers in Utah, IMHO. Excellent food; try the pizzas or the fish and chips, and a small but exceptional set of beers. The Elephino is a great double IPA and the Drioma a solid imperial stout. Their first foray into barrel aging, the Furlong, was outstanding. Overall, highly recommended.

Food is better than the beer. Eat anything on the menu. Any accompanying beer is very good to wash it down

This is an easy place to spot due to some nice signage.

It is a large L shaped space with lots of perimeter seating. The bar is also L shaped and is near the open kitchen with a wood fired pizza oven.

The decor reminds me a bit of what a corporate committee designing a brewpub would come up with. There is some exposed brick and ductwork, a concrete floor, granite bar and a swag station in front. It's not bad, but feels a bit sterile. It was crowded on a Tuesday evening, so they are doing something right.

The menu is large and I thought my choices were pretty tasty.

Service at the bar was a mixed bag. The two tenders seemed a bit overwhelmed and given the size and crowds, I thought they could use one more. One of the guys was nice and jovial, the other was a trifle surly and a bit stressed out. The guy next to me was livid at his poor service, my experience was slightly better. Note as the crowds thinned out, the service really ramped-up which tells me they do need a third bartender…

Beer selection is decent with 10 house drafts and 10 house bottles. The bottles are 500ml and priced fairly at $6.50 and drafts are also well priced at $4.75.

I would revisit, but have found other places in SLC that I like better
