This is a great little independent liquor store! They have moved recently and the new location is very nice, parking in front of store in a huge lot, and the beer selection pound for pound is GREAT.

Justin is the beer guy here, and he tries his hardest to bring in whatever he can as far as special releases. Their Dogfish selection is amazing this year, they've had the 120min, Burton Baton, 90 and 60min, World Wide Stout. They are expecting the 75min, Aprihop, and Red/White soon.

Stone Brewing is represented well, with all their bombers being present, Odell's Brewing as well with Mountain Standard, Myrcenary, 90 Shilling, 5 Barrel, Red, and Levity.

All in all a great selection of Craft Beers, and even an above average Belgian selection.

Go in and check this place out if you get the chance, it's quite the find and being small the good beers usually stick around for a bit!

If you hook into their Facebook - Magee Rd. Liquors, Justin keeps it updated with new arrivals.

These guys are amazing. They recently had to close down and change their location and they had a big issue with getting their new liquor license (it took 110 days) but as soon as they reopened I stopped in and Jared who works there recognized me and told me that he was just about to come down to my work to let me know they were finally opened. If I want something but I just don't have enough to get it he will hold onto it for me for as long as I need. When they were closing down he sold my friend and me some beers at cost and even gave us one of the RogueXS beers that was just too much for us to afford. I even went in there one day to pick up a gift for my girlfriend's dad and saw a beer that I wanted but I didn't have the cash for and he gave it to me and told me just to pay him back next time I come in. That is what I call service. Jared is a great guy, his craft selection is pretty good (and it is supposed to be getting better with the new, larger cooler they are installing) and the day I discovered this place was the day I stopped going to BevMo.

They have moved to 6074 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704.

Last review pretty much covered it, good import selection, major BMC type beers, and a decent American craft selection, with full lines of Anchor, Sierra Nevada, and Stone being the standouts. I've only ever seen two different guys working there over the past few years. Neither are beer geeks, but they're both very nice and accommodating, even to the extent that they're going to call me when a limited edition whiskey I want comes in. Never gotten any beer, liquor, or wine from there that's been mishandled, so I rate the quality high. Beer and liquor prices are average for the area, nothing seems overpriced.

Magee Road Liquors is a small store up in Oro Valley. They seem to have a fair selection of wine and spirits, but they also have a well-rounded offerring of craft brews and imports. It's hard to comment on the service, as it is usually just one guy in there, but he is pretty friendly when I have talked to him. The UK and German choices are pretty standard, and for Belgians they have Chimay, Andelot, Lindeman's etc. They have 6er's from New Belgium, Nimbus, Full Sail, Anchor, SN, and bombers from Stone and Ommegang. Top choices I saw recently included Sam Smith's Imperial Stout, Stone RIS, and some SN Bigfoot. Prices were generally average for a liquor store, not as cheap as if you were in a grocery store perhaps. Overall its a good place to go if you are in the area, and since it is less traveled they might not sell out of specialties as fast as other well-known shops...

Update Mar 2011: This place has significantly updated their beer selection. Lots of goodies here now. Justin the beer guy works hard to bring in quality brews, and with a relatively small selection it's like everything is good. It won't be a secret for long.
