Tastes much like a Belgian witbier. Fruity and somewhat sweet. A good brew, but not one of my favorites.

Pleasant cloudy brew. Not much "heft" nor aroma that you would expect of a "Belgian Style".
Got it as part of a "Beer of the month club" so maybe it was damaged in transit.

This beer pours a pale gold with a small head. The aroma offers a yeasty smell of banana, clove, and wheat chex. The flavor is also rather cereal like, with mild clove, banana, and mango. The mouthfeel is light with huge carbonation. Overall I found this rather disappointing - it lacsk body and depth and the flavors are quite muted.

Special place in my heart.
For most of this century and some of the last, my wife and I travel with friends up to Spring Green, Wisconsin for a summer respite. (Please, not to see just Frank Lloyd Wright's studio.) American Players Theatre is there and it is one of the great classical summer stock repertories.
This town of less than 1,000 in the off-season also has a brewery that produces interesting beers... (although they are no match for Shakespeare or Wright... or APT.)
This ale is Furthermore's flagship.
It has exquisite looks. Smell also entices.
But, the rest is not that good. Initial taste is refreshing and unique enough, but no "Bravo!". Aftertaste needs some direction.
It's pairing with food indicates something important.
Thinking Belgian Pale, I thought it would go well enough with a red sauce and pasta.
Not really a red sauce beer, so I stopped drinking and ate.
Then, salad came around. A whiff of the vinegar (Balsamic) and I started drinking again. The ale cut right through and cleared my mouth for my favorite part of any meal (dessert.)
Jason (you know, the founder of this site) said he thought this was more like a Belgian white. My palate agrees.

Drink any and all of Futhermore's beers and support the arts!

Rating revised slightly downward based on re-tasting in summer of 2016.
