Creativity is one of the most important things I look for in a brewer, and Furthermore is starting to climb up my list. This strikes me essentially as a brown ale, which is usually another way of saying "boring" -- but not in this case. It looks absolutely beautiful in the glass, with a ruby brown color that really catches the light nicely. Fair head. It has a great toasty malt character and a wonderful bittersweet brown sugar undertone throughout. And yet surprisingly dry and crisp, with a mildly hoppy finish. Highly recommended.

A: Pours hazy amber under a 2” persistent white foam collar that grips the side of the glass providing thick lines of lace.
S: Bread, light fruit, scented with medium low grassy, minty citrus hop fragrance
T: Light fruit with rich malts balanced by citrus rind hop bitterness. Cola to Dr. Pepper flavors in the background. Slightly sweet but dries on the finish. Not a lot of linger.
F: medium body and carbonation
O: A medium impact beer with above average complexity.

Very good... not as good as its Belgina counterparts. Has barleywine like qualities and I don't quite see it as a Belgian IPA.

This pours a cloudy amber color with a slight head and some floaties. The aroma is malty with hints of sweet figs. The taste is sweet, malty with a bit of warming booze. An interesting take on an American Strong Ale as it’s kind of thin for the style but the sweetness and booze is there.

There is nothing wrong with this beer... But it's not very Belgian.

It's a pretty traditional barley wine and it's a fine enough barley wine, it's middle of the road and quite drinkable as a barley wine.

There is a bit of a hop after taste, but the hops don't come out clean in terms of any particular flavor profile.
