A: Brilliant amber, 2” pillowy white foam collar that produces thick ledges of lace.
S: grassy, citrusy hops, malt
T: starts with a strong shot of malt – a hint of cola and then a lingering bitter finish, citrus rind. Caramel flavors with just a hint of roast.
F: Medium full body, medium carbonation,
O: This strikes me as a medium beer - fragrance is medium low, impact is mid range, the hops give it some character as does the malt. The alcohol is not assertive.

Pours amber with a lasting, fluffy white head. Lacing sticks.

The smell is of floral/citric/herbal mixed with a caramel backing.

The taste is citric bitter, then a caramelized sweet kiss, finishing bone-dry. Alcohol noticeable.

A strong, hoppy, boozy DIPA. Looks very nice, smells nice, the flavors could come together better, but decent enough. A bit of a chore to drink it all, but in "sipping" mode, it's enjoyable.

From notes on 11/14/13

Pours cloudy orange. 1 inch white head. Not much hop smell or taste for a double IPA. I notice a lot of the malt character coming through. This is not necessarily a bad thing. This is a decent beer. Not what I expected though.

More alcohol than a typical IPA and a great citrusy character for a double. :)

Meh. Just a mediocre IIPA that doesn't really come off as an IIPA except in the nose. Decent smell, passable appearance with a frothy, vigorous head, decent mouthful but very thin taste, bitter with no substance. Glad I only got one in a make-your-own sixer.
