Pours amber with a lasting, fluffy white head. Lacing sticks.

The smell is of floral/citric/herbal mixed with a caramel backing.

The taste is citric bitter, then a caramelized sweet kiss, finishing bone-dry. Alcohol noticeable.

A strong, hoppy, boozy DIPA. Looks very nice, smells nice, the flavors could come together better, but decent enough. A bit of a chore to drink it all, but in "sipping" mode, it's enjoyable.

Slightly hazy, light amber coloring, thick, bone-white head, leaving lace.

Aroma: dank hops, dark malts. a little sweet and fruity, but hop bitterness on top. a bit of a muddle, though, nothing really stands out and takes attention.

Taste: Bold entrance on the palate, fresh hoppiness, and then swiftly fading back. Medium-bodied, with a blase' finish. No ABV given, doesn't feel too high, though…could be wrong. The soon-gone hop attack is a disappointment. In general, I'm feeling disappointed. There's some caramel and chocolate malt flavor appearing on the palate that don't quite mesh well with piney, citric hop presence. Again, it's a mixed-up meddle that doesn't come together very well in the mouth. Leaves me feeling unfulfilled.

Blah. I don't enjoy saying it about a Furthermore beer, but this is one of the least satisfying double IPAs I've ever encountered. If I could turn back time, I'd have found something else to spend $9.99 on than this 6-pack. Curse this desire of mine to "try 'em all"!

Hey, what's the label say? "Local hops added for extra Wisconsin-ness.--A Furthermore Beer brewed and bottled by Milwaukee Brewing Company, Wilwaukee, WI." Oh.

A: Brilliant amber, 2” pillowy white foam collar that produces thick ledges of lace.
S: grassy, citrusy hops, malt
T: starts with a strong shot of malt – a hint of cola and then a lingering bitter finish, citrus rind. Caramel flavors with just a hint of roast.
F: Medium full body, medium carbonation,
O: This strikes me as a medium beer - fragrance is medium low, impact is mid range, the hops give it some character as does the malt. The alcohol is not assertive.

I saw in their description that on the bottle they call it a dipa but elsewhere an ipa, which puzzled me. Then I tasted it and it actually seems more like an ok pale ale with good body. Maybe because of the strength. Whatever. Not really, bad, just not too good either.

poured 12 oz bottle into snifter.

A - Nice dark copper color with white 1 finger head. Retention is minimal and yields a thing ring around glass. Slight spotty lacing.

S - Earthy and dank hops with some pine and hints of bitter citrus. Some malt sweetness of caramel and honey.

T - Starts off with some malt sweetness of caramel and honey, maybe some breadiness. Midway through some earthy, floral dank hops make an appearance. Finishes with some bitterness and minimal citrus.

M - A bit thinner than I would like a IIPA, but not bad. Carbonation is light and it is oily and slick. Bitterness does linger for a bit.

O - This is a pretty decent WI IIPA for the price and uses local WI hops. Not overly hoppy, but the flavor is good. I'd have it again.
