Bottled on 9-14-05,I believe this is my first Utah brewed beer, poured clear copper with a huge blossoming head that left sheets of lace behind as it took its time settleing.Quite herbal aroma wise a touch of mint I even picked up a touch of sweet basil something I have never really picked up in a beer I also noticed a nice underlying lemon zest appeal. The flavors are quite basic some biscuit malt flavors up front only a touch of sweetness like that of clover honey, finishing with just enough of a grassy/herbal hopsmack to make it somewaht interesting.I think a nicely balanced session style pale here,a solid offering from Utah.

Imagine you had a macro lager and cut it equal parts with an amber ale, that is the color you get here. Nice carbonation, 3/4" white head. Aroma of mild grass and grain, almost no hop perceptible.
Taste, has a fruity yeast edge to it, mild hopping, mild 2 row and honey pale malt styles. Carbonation still high, contributes to the levity. A decent choice when you're fishing, but maybe not cold weather fishing.
Tows the line between kolsch and extra pale ale.
