Belgian yeast and American grains provide the distinct character and flavors of this blonde ale.

Not a lot of belgian blonde reviews for me. Over 4300 reviews and this will be only the 5th beer of the aforementioned style reviewed for me. So now that we got that proverbial disclaimer out of the way.

Blonde ale pours a dark blonde/copper color. Yeast is similar to a tripel, but with less plastic and heavy spice rack notes re: clove/coriander. That is my way of saying its better.

Taste is also similar to a session strength tripel. But thankfully, not as hot in the mouth feel. Has a bit of that breadiness often bespoke of. I wonder what style Redemption is? That is a great beer without the spice rack. Ah a belgian pale ale. Pretty close. Mild lemon and apple note to it. Lemonbars without the sweetness. The body is pretty light and the flavor profile is deeper than its malt heft. Had a bitterness to it that might have been the driver of the lemon rind like note. Hint of almond/nuts.

Overall, eh, not my jam, but I could see it appeasing the Blue Moon and an orange wedge drinker.

I really like this Belgian blonde. I am disappointed it's no longer organic.

This is a simple, straightforward ale. If I was to introduce a newbie to the Belgian blonde/gold type, this is an example I would consider.

The look is nice. The body is a deep yellow to gold. There is a nice foamy head on top that starts thick and settles to 1/4 " the rest of the way.

The smell is largely malty, with mild clove tones. It has the slightest hint of floral, too.

The taste is just like the smell. It tastes quite malty, yet the clove and spice is not as pronounced. It is not a strong ale by any means. There is a moderate bitterness that balances nicely with all other aspects of the taste.

The mouthfeel is smooth. I would almost say watery, but light-bodied would be more appropriate. The finish is very delicate, again not quite watery. There is minimal bite on the throat, but the carbonation and the hops give a surprising nip to the top of the tongue at the end.

Overall, this beer is decent. Again, it is not complex at all. The best word I could find to summarize this beer is "mild". I like a stronger, more pungent ale myself, but this is a good introductory example that won't overwhelm a neophyte's palate. I paired with carrot cake, and the two went very well together. In the end, I would consider having it on hand for a large group. It is a "safe" beer to which company won't generally object.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is slight hazy golden yellow with a small white head. The aroma is fruit and grain. The taste matches the nose.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Definite Belgian funk going on, musty nose. Lightly hazy golden body with creamy head, some decent streaky lacing. Taste brings the yeast full on, some malt, very bready. Decent Belgian.

Very tasty wheat beer. Not really a Witbier, no citrusy undertone, but a similar vibe in the glass and under the nose. Organic grains, too - very much appreciated that Uinta is making the effort to source their ingredients responsibly. Excellent warm weather quaff.
