Perfect thick and off-white head with great lacing sits atop an orange brown amber.

Nose is zesty, with pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sweet molasses.

Taste is warm-baked bread, nutmeg, orange rind.

Mouthfeel is dry, with plenty of carbonation and drinkability.

Overall, this is a fine, semi-spiced pumpkin beer.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light amber color. The head is small and white. The aroma is of light pumpkin and spice. The flavor is rather weak regarding pumpkin. I have had better from Unita.

Had on tap at Barnum Publick House in Bridgeport. Pours a nice dark copper color with a smallish head that fades. Pretty obvious aroma of spices in the front, some subtle sweetness in the back. As far as this "harvest pumpkin" ale goes it's actually not that bad as I thought. Spices up front, brown ale notes underneath. Finishes a hair too bitter and astringent, but otherwise a solid attempt. My second pumpkin beer out of a can (first was Pumple Drumkin by Cisco).

This is my new favorite of the category. While I enjoy the extremes of the over-the-top flavors of Southern Tier to the very subtle Dogfish offering, this really nails the essence of the style. Pours orangish amber. with think white skim and some lace. Aroma are not just standard pumpkin pie spices, but also actual pumpkin and a nice bready malt. I can tell this is beer - unusual in the punkin crowd these days. The flavors only reinforce the aroma, with a very smooth malty backbone, real pumpkin taste, and only mild accompaniment of spices. Finish is clean. Very drinkable. Most of the style I can only have one. This is good.

From the bottle, it pours an orangey amber with a small head, quickly dissipating to a ring around the glass. A bit of pumpkin in the nose. Taste is mostly malt, with some pumpkin thrown in. Good beer!

I bought a singe and loved this beer. It smells and tastes like a good pumpkin ale should...like pumpkin - with a hint of spice. Great malt presence and easy drinking - great mouth feel to me. Brooklyn's Post Road has been my favorite pumpkin ale for years - more dry but similar taste profile. This one is right up there if not better. I was surprised to see so many lesser ratings (around 3.5), but perhaps the people rating aren't big fans of this style.
