I've noticed that all the beers from Unita that I've reviewed now seem to have low ABV.
And Wyld is the same case coming in at 4.0 ABV.
The aroma has a floral hoppiness which is bright and fresh smelling.
On the pour I got some hazy clarity with a small white head over the amber body.
Taste is malty and dry with some bitterness at the end that lingers into the aftertaste.
Not alot hops in the taste mostly malts.
Drinks prickly over the palate and finishes clean.
This is a desent beer nothing special. It is a bit lean and ashed out in the flavor but drinks good.

A: There was a little foam over after uncapping this beer, a solid centimeter of frothy head on a medium pour, Deep gold - 3.00, S: A very pleasant aroma, some nice earthy hops, a few hints of bubblegum, definite grassiness - 4.25, T: Solid hop bite, dry, tastes like some green/fresh hops are part of the build though given the bottling date of May 2008 - I doubt I would pick that up over a year later, I do wonder how much more prominent the hops would have been if it had been fresher - 4.25, M: 4.00, D: A very enjoyable and drinkable extra pale ale - then again that is coming from a hophead and this one doesn't disappoint, as an organic beer there is absolutely no loss in taste. Apparently "Four +" is affiliated with Uinta Brewing, I'd gladly drink this beer again - 4.50

I picked this up as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99 at the Binny's store in Bloomingdale, IL, making it $1.67 for a single 12oz brown boittle. It has a bottled on date of 1/26/12 on it, so this bottle is about 10 months old now.

The beer poured a slightly hazed pale gold color with a half finger of white head on top that dissipated in less than 30 seconds and left only a few small spots of lace. Not that attractive to look at.

Pine, citrus, and tropical fruit smell with subtle bready malt underneath.

This mostly has a citrusy hop flavor with a bit of pine hop bitterness. giving it a 29 IBU rating. What malt there is is on the dry crackery side rather than sweet.

Light body with higher than average carbonation.

It has decent flavor, and with the low 4.0% abv you can have a few of these without feeling much, but they are not anyhing that I would describe as WYLD or exceptional.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint. Bottled on July 29, 2011.

Appearance: Slightly hazy pale gold with thin creamy head and faint lacing.

Smell: Spicy floral aroma with some sweet citrus.

Taste: Bready and grainy malts upfront, with light notes of grapefruit, orange, lemon and herbs. Light bitterness.

Feel: Moderate carbonation, light but firm body with a dry finish. Feels like an English Bitter.

Overall: Nice, subtle cross between an APA and an English Bitter. Very mild, but balanced and refreshing.

Pours a clear gold with billowing dense white head. Thick rings of lace down the glass, great retention. Smell: light biscuit, light citrus, pine and apricot. Taste: crackery malt with a little extra fruit sweetness, grapefruit and pine - not a lot. Nice, actually. Best before mid May '14.

Pale flat yellow, plenty of carbonation streams, and four fingers of white micro-bubbly foam.

Pleantsant not overly agressive grapefruit aroma.

Quick fleeting caramel, immediately overwhelmed by grapefruit. Bitterness builds and peaks smoothly at the swallow. Citrus and bitter entwine in the aftertaste.

Light-medium mouthfeel is smooth with some background bubblyness.

Overall an enjoyable if unexceptional pale ale. You might not seek, but no reason to avoid.
