Light blonde beer, very dry and crisp with a heavy cereal and grain profile, grassy, nice hop hit at the end.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a hazy golden-yellow color with a nice one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a rings of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is biggest of a wheat and lemon smell along with a little bit of a grainy smell. There is a hint of a grassy and hay smell as well giving it a slightly funked summer wheat smell overall.

Taste – The taste begins with a wheaty and slightly bready taste with a hint of fruity sweetness of a tangerine nature. Right from the start there is a bit of lemon and some grapefruit hop flavor which are later joined by some more grassy and hay like hop flavors. As the taste advances the sweeter tangerine fades, drying out the taste of the brew, with some grainy and more grassy hop flavors coming to the tongue. With a little bit of hay and yeast that come at the end of the taste, one is left with a rather crisp and wheaty, slightly funked, and more intense then would be expected for a 4.0 % abv brew., flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is rather average for a normal strength brew, but for a 4 % abv it is rather thick, with a carbonation level that is rather average overall. The thicker body and moderate carbonation really accentuate the mix of wheat and funk rather well bringing these flavors to the forfront and really allowing them to be picked up.

Overall – A rather good summer style wheat/saison at only 4 % abv. For the light alcohol level this is a fantastically flavorful brew and makes for one fantastic session . Rather nice overall!!
