Roasted chocolate malts influence this full-flavored ale. This sessionable porter is black in color and well balanced.

This is number 5 or 6 in my Utah beer stretch. A good beer, but for the style, it seems "light". It has the beginning taste of a porter, but as it continues, the taste seems to diminish, ending in the style of a light beer.

A: Pours a brown color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a nice cap that leaves spotty lacing
S: Some roast, coffee, and dark chocolate come through up front, along with a bit of grain and fruity notes
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with some roast and bitter coffee notes along with some light fruitiness and graininess. Finishes with lingering roast and some bitterness
M: Medium bodied with moderate prickly carbonation
O: A decent porter with great drinkability. Nothing special, but good enough to keep around for a dark beer session

Flashback #192 - Sourish overtones, not much roastedness.
