Copper. Slight haze. Nice fluffy white head

Orange and pine aroma. Maybe some passion fruit.

Delicious. Similar to jai alai but with better bitterness.

This beer pours a nice amber color with a 2 finger off white head that has excellent retention and leaves nice sheets of lacing. Smell is subdued grapefruit, orange, pine and bready malts. Taste is the same with a moderate amount of bitterness. Feel is medium with good carbonation, but there is a strange tingly like feeling on the back end which I do not care for. Overall good not great.

My kids chose this beer for me - and I have to say, it was an excellent choice.

This beer pours smoothly with a decent effervescence, and leaves a lacy finish on the glass as you drink it. Slightly clouding, a little darker than usual for an IPA, this fit the characteristics I expect of the modern American take -- light bouquet for the nose then citrus front and centre, caramel on the sides with a heavy body and pleasant finish.

Somewhat more alcohol at 7.3% ABV than needed for the flavour profile, but a really strong American Pale Ale that I will look forward to picking up again in the future. Yum.

Cloudy orange and a frothy white head with good retention. Bold tropical aroma with citrus and hints of pine. Tropical sweetness is followed by an increasing hop bitterness, a dry finish, and a moderate linger. Moderate carbonation and a full mouthfeel.

A great balance between bitterness and flavor. It's strong in both areas but not so strong one completely eclipses the other.

A: A deep golden blonde color that has a light haze and it has moderate to high carbonation. A think white head develops when poured into a pint glass and strong lacing.
S: A robust orange, citrus and grapfruit aroma that's well rounded and pleasing
T: I have to admit this is one of best tasting IPAs I have had in a while. A rush orange, grapefruit, tangerine, and other citrus flavors that provides such lush and pleasing taste. And the hop character is smooth, consistent and present all the way to the finish. Also, it has so little backside bitterness. A solid malt backbone gives this IPA added dimension
M: Moderate malt body medium and medium carbonation
O: A great beer in this style and the powerful yet balanced citrus flavor experience certainly is impressive.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a glossy yellow color with a decent transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising to fill a one finger white foamy head. Light lacing strings out along the glass nicely.
The smell had some light sweet citrus and then some bitter citrus hops. Malt profile is really light.
The taste copied the smell in a nice sweet sort of way. Bitterness comes back in a small little bite close to the finish. Gentle semi-bitter to focused sweet aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about a light to medium in body with a nice sessionable feel to it. Carbonation runs light.
Overall, I'd say this was very nice AIPA and am glad it's in my distro, always willing to get in cans to truck out hiking, fishing and sitting in my deer stand.

Gold in color with excellent clarity and an inch of tightly packed frothy tan head. Moderate lacing. The aroma is a bit more focused on citrus hops and light malt. I taste a gentle citrus hop bitterness and some light malt to back it up. The mouth is fairly light and delicate.

Look - Golden copper color. Maybe a slight haze
Smell - Citrus, floral, sweetness, some spice
Taste - A nice blend of citrus and floral. Definitely some caramel malt type sweetness in there as well.

Overall - A decent IPA but nothing special or stand out'ish in my opinion.

Orange/Copper, deep color...nice thick loaded body, had a big head on her, staying power in the lacing..charming suspended sediment noted in the glass...
I get a piney smell, intoxicating big sniff...
Big hops, she's got IBUs, get started on IBUs with this one...smooth, taste goes as it smells, piney, biscuits...bite in the aftertaste that you don't get drinking it
So Smooth, I feel great after my 2...intoxicating, dry

Wow, this was a really nice one! This had a nice malt presence, with a bit of sweet honey like flavor, a great deal of citrus and grapefruit flavors, and a firm and aggressive bitter bite. The bitterness was abrasive and almost too much, but stopped just before going over the edge. I know it may sound off putting, but it was actually really awesome if you are a fan of bitter IPA's.

Color was amber with a quarter inch of foam and lacing that stuck with me to the end. The best way I can sum this one up is like if you would run your taste buds through a blender full of hops. There is no doubt what this beer is once you taste it.

Dark orange copper color with a bright white thick head that laces the tulip glass all the way down. Not too much aroma which is ok cause it's all save in the taste! Wow so flavorful, citrus, piney, grassy. With sweet malty backbone, like if you took all the good flavored hops from all the good IPAs and put them all into one great offering. Supremely impressed with this IPA. Mouth feel is rich creamy yet crisp at the same time. Overall, one of the best IPAs I've had in awhile and was looking for this beer for so long and glad I finally found it!

Can poured into a tulip glass. Pours a cloudy orange/amber color with a persistent foamy head and significant lacing. Very citrus like smell and taste with a very balanced finish. Mouth feel was just a bit thin for an IPA but the carbonation level was decent. Overall this is one of a number of very good IPA's available and is certainly worth a try.

On the pour - The beer is a bit cloudy but a nice color with a bubbly head.
A very sweet hoppy profile.

I would definitely recommend this beer!

Truth be told I like IPA's

This beer has a 7.3% ABV so drink responsibly!

A bitter bitter brew, amps up the sweet, caramelly malt backbone and floral hops. Thick and chewy in a way, the body is full and sticky, maybe overly so. A tad more lightness of touch would make this easier to get down. Makes you work your way through it, that's for sure

Poured from bottle
Deep gold/Straw color with some haze. Not a heavy head at all, moderately carbonated.
Aroma is pleasant with a biscuit/bread nose and some earthy hop notes.
Nicely balanced beer for the style - starts with a touch of caramel sweetness that fades quickly then re-emerges a little at the finish.
Hop profile has a little of everything with a grassy/earthy character with spicy notes and a slight grapefruit/citrus finish. Good stuff!

12 oz bottle poured into tulip. Best before date: 9/13/15

L: Golden amber with a white head. The head is about 1 finger when poured. Head retention is nice as it lingers around 1 finger. The lace is great.

S: Citrus hops right off the bat. Very fruity and floral. A little spicy. A hint of malt comes cuts through the hops. Smells very nice. Can't wait to taste it.

T: A caramel malty backbone accented by the bitterness from the hops.

F: Medium mouth feel. Very carbonated. The finish isn't as dry as I was expecting.

O: A terrifically refreshing IPA. I will definitely be picking up some more while I can.

Picked up a growler of this, had it poured into a pint glass. Color is a medium copper, good look for an ipa. The flavor is bold, plenty of hops and pine, very crisp. Probably more carbonation than i'd like but not bad. Havent been a big uinta guy historically, but this is their flagship as far as I can tell and it's quite nice.

It pours dark golden with orange tinges and a full white head that leaves plenty of lacing. It has citrus aromas with hints of pine and lemon. The flavors are a piney, citrus combination with a moderate bitter bite on the palate.

Brilliant orange-tinged copper colour with an ever-so-slightly-off-white head of low retention. Nose wafts floral, pine, and pineapple notes. Taste is more pine forward and resinous, but though a decent bitter linger, it has a pretty malty beginning with honeyish qualities, and some present ethanol. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A touch oily.

Hop Nosh pours a hazy golden color with a big lacing long lasting head. There is a big hoppy aroma. The taste is very very earthy, with big roasted malt flavors. Flat feel, but strong flavors. Overall its a very malty and earthy IPA with strong flavors.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a rich medium coppery amber with a fine two finger off-white head with great retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, smells good. Flavor is also a base of caramel malt with orange, lemon citrus and piney hops which transition to a more grapefruit and resinous piney hop finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess, good mouth feel. This is my favorite profile for IPAs, with a well balanced, flavorful caramel malt supporting interesting hop flavors. Hop bitterness a bit understated, but good and flavorful. Well done. I'd be happy to drink this any time.

Is it hop nosh or hop notch? Either way, solid IPA. Nothing special & oddly I mean that in a good way. Clear & dark for an IPA. This is firmly embedded in a mix of other great, not amazing, IPAs like Titan, Union Jack, etc. You'll be happy drinking this if you like IPAs.

I had this again and had to edit my review - must have had an old batch the first time. The smell was great this time around. Perfect balance of floral, grapefruit and pine. It reminded me of the Grapefruit Sculpin, which is one of my favorites. The taste is grapefruity and a tad spicy. Really good aftertaste and a great creamy head.
