Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a silly Sam Adams tulip-pint glass. Moderate hand. Best before 11/09/14.

A: 4.0 Cloudy orange-yellow body with 1.5 fingers of eggshell-colored head. Good retention. Nice lacing.

S: 4.0 Balanced hops and floral notes. Equal parts pine and citrus. Grapefruit. Grass. Lighter bread, caramel.

T: 3.75 Dry, grapefruit pulp bitterness initially and throughout. A touch of malt sweetness peeks through, but remains in the background. The malt is present, but acts more as a support for the assertive hopping. Finishes dry with a citrus zest bitterness lingering in the aftertaste.

M: 3.75 Moderate carbonation with a moderate body. Slightly oily.

O: 3.75 Hops run the show here with just enough malt to fill out the flavors and body. Fairly bitter. Depth is ok. Lacks that certain juiciness I look for in an IPA, but I could see some people really digging this.

Prost!

look: 5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Appearance- Pours a slightly hazy medium amber in color with a thick, frothy white head that lingers well after the initial sip

Smell- Oranges and pine resin dominate with just a slightly bread like quality.

Taste- A blast of hops right off the bat with pine and a slight earthiness. Oranges and lemons make an appearance mid palate making the sip slightly mouth puckering, and finishing with a hint of caramel and bread.

Feel- Dry, medium body and medium carbonation. Slightly resiny.

Overall- A solid IPA and enjoyable.
