Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass.

Appearance: Dark amber in colour, almost reminding me of pine sap, with a thin head which recedes almost as quickly as it forms. Thick and sticky lacing is left on the glass after every sip.

Aroma: Big and bold hops, featuring strong pine and floral notes in the background, like sitting in the middle of a pine forest. This is a very strong and pleasing aroma.

Taste: As the nose suggests, this is very hop forward, particularly a load of bitter and piney hops which produces a huge but very gratifying flavour. This is certainly a hophead's IPA. There is also a strong malt background, balancing hop bitterness with malt sweetness. The proportion is good and yields a full-bodied yet drinkable beer.

Mouthfeel: Slightly viscuous, with little carbonation. It lightly coats the mouth and throat and has a lingering finish.

Overall: I think Uinta completely succeeded at what they were going for: a sensibly hop-heavy IPA with plenty of malt character to balance it and give it some complexity. This is a very fine beer that stands out amongst the plethora of American-brewed IPAs that flood the market today.

Pours a clear amber color with a large white foam head. Decent retention recedes leaving a nice, smooth thin head. Good lacing on the sides. Visible carbonation.

Aroma is very strong. Lots of pine up front, paired with floral hops and citrus. Very vivid, lively aroma, that almost places me in the setting with all the odors.

Taste leads with Pine. Well hopped. Follows with a good amount of sweetness and hop bitterness. Some nice citrus on the back end, featuring grapefruit and pineapple, with mango sticking on the tongue.

Medium bodied. Low carbonation. A bit sticky. Pretty easy to drink, could definitely down a few of these. No hints of alcohol.

Overall, a very good IPA. Might actually make this one of my go-to's.

Very good "go to" IPA. Not overly hoppy for people that don't like too much bitterness. Great summer IPA when well chilled.

Uinta Brewing Hop Nosh India Pale Ale, 7.3% ABV. Salt Lake City, Utah.

Appearance: lightly hazed, bright golden/amber coloring, with a beautiful, blooming white head.

Aroma: Bold and lively citric & floral notes. Gorgeous.

Taste: Bittersweet hop flavor grabs the palate at first, and never lets go. Medium-bodied, lean and easy. Long bitter finish, with just a pinch of malt sweetness.

The can is refreshingly free of gobbledygook, as refreshing as the beer is to drink. Just a straight up and down decent IPA. Good beer and you can drink it.
