Poured a light hazy straw color into a pint glass. White fizz 2" head dissipating to thin consistent head. I detected an almost detergent smell at first that changed to grass. Initial light malt flavor with very light hop bitterness on the end. Light and crisp feel with higher sensation of carbonation than what you would expect from looking at it. Further sips produced a sensation of seltzer water.

Golden yellow with sudsy, foamy white head. Decent retention. Grain and berries or even grape or perfume on the nose. Fruitiness most likely a yeast quality, although perhaps influenced by hops. Quite the same on the taste, maybe a little less fruity and more grainy, with mild hop bitterness yielding a scented soap-like flavor overall, and I mean no disrespect, for it's not too strong and works well with the lighter body and medium level of prickly carbonation. This one's all bubbles going down the hatch.

Extra cloudy, almost white, to the yellow color. Good head that leaves ring lace.

A very poor smell that comes closest to dishwasher water.

Fortunately, the flavor is much improved. There's some fruity sweetness to the initial taste. Light bitterness in the swallow for balance. Short aftertaste. Full bodied with a high level of carbonation.

A: Pours a very light hazy straw to medium yellow in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation slowly rising from the bottom of the glass and faint golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger + half finger tall fizzy foamy white head that reduces to a mottled medium thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of bready malts with a touch of grassy/hay-like hops.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of bready and cereal grain malts with a light touch of an almost honey-like sweetness. That is followed by a very light flavor of grassy/hay and herbal hops which imparts just a hint of bitterness which fades pretty quickly.

M: Light bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Easy to drink and very sessionable. Enjoyable and definitely one that I would grab regularly for outdoor events when it is warm out there.

Light beer with a smooth finish. Not bad, but if you're looking for big flavor, this isn't it.

Drinking Hoodoo Golden Ale in Bryce Canyon Campground after hiking through the hoodoos - how cool is that! Like drinking bourbon in Bourbon County or Champagne in Champagne.

Aesthetically pleasing brown compass bottle with a pretty painting of what I believe is “the fist,” one of the more popular hoodoos. Gold color. Smells like what I think of when I think of general beer smell: bread dough and golden malt.

Taste is golden malt with an ample black pepper hop in back for balance. Green apple sweetness. Bit of a ‘tweener in the mouthfeel department. Not as crisp as a kolsch but not as smooth as a golden ale. I guess that’s why it’s a kolsch style golden ale.
