Uinta has built up a really large, wide open and beautiful taproom here in Salt Lake City, despite the almost desolate, strangely lonely urban industrial drive it takes to get here. However, my biggest takeaway from this visit is not finally hearing just how Uinta is pronounced, but that Nomad's food is fucking delish!

Actually, Uinta’s lagers are pretty tasty too. I've not had any up until now, despite us having received distro from them in years past, but both the pilsners I had before my food came were absolutely spot on. We ordered a fried chicken thigh sandwich as well as a BBQ burger, which both came with house fried chips that just wonderfully pulled it all together. You can pick from salt and vinegar or barbecue seasoning, so we obviously got one of each.

The locals that hang out here are very familiar, to the point it almost seemed like they were employees. Hell, they very well may have been, despite it being around dinner time on a Saturday. And that's pretty much primarily what the surprisingly meager crowd consisted of. But hey, it's Utah. Even still, they got fairly rambunctious for what otherwise seems like a very polished, brightly lit and even sophisticated bar, at least by brewery standards, but it was all in good fun. It only logically followed then that our bartender was also quite talkative, giving us tips for local hiking and fishing spots despite the fact that we made it clear this was our last day in Utah.

This perfect stop for dinner was made all the better when we heard that they were going back to distributing in all 50 states, particularly because the FIL will be happy to see Hop Nosh return to local shelves. So we snagged a t-shirt for him on the way out, as well as a few beers for a night cap back at the hotel.

great to finally check this place out in person, ive liked there beer forever just never made it here in my travels before. the space is nice, expansive with lots of natural light, feels newer than i feel like these guys are, not sure if they have had more than one location over the years. tons of taps on the bar side, a kitchen operation working there as well, called nomad i think, will check them out next time. the place was mellow on a thursday afternoon, as many workers as patrons. a little package store and swag shop up front, good layout, the production obviously takes place on sight, but i didnt not get a chance to check out the brewery itself. nice folks in here, a solid selection, i was pleased to see a few new to me beers on tap, including an ipa for brighton ski area and a very robustly flavored vanilla porter, all the usual suspects as well. its utah so they cant have their higher strength crooked line stuff on unfortunately, but the beer list was good. i liked the vibes here, think their beers continue to stay relevant enough, and it was great to finally get a chance to have a pint here. recommended!

Sleek modern brewpub on the west side of town. Entrance into foyer with bottle/ merch shop on the left an taproom on the right. L-shaped bar against the back wall, about a dozen tables and booths inside and maybe 8 or 10 outside in sunken patio. Can't say I'm a big fan of QR code menus... order at the bar... Utah beer rules, 5% draft, whatever in cans. The 2 beers I had were OK. Friendly, personable barmaids, but kitchen took a half hour to make a mediocre turkey club.

Was on Beer Safari in Utah and finally had a chance to check out Uinta. Very glad I did. Place was great. People were great. And beer was mighty tasty!
If there is an upside to the Utah beer laws which limit draft beer to 4%... it’s that it either forces or facilitates a lot of creativity around session beers. Uinta had more than a dozen interesting flavorful drafts... the Pink Boots Hibiscus “IPA” was really interesting and very good. Of course if you want bigger beers you draw from cans and bottles. As I found elsewhere as well as here... the upside is just about every big beer they make is ready to pour... tasters; partial and full pints and more. Kinda like going to wineries and they pour whatever you want. Understand the frustration... but I quickly learned to enjoy such a huge range of choices in Big BA beers; DIPAs, sours/tarts; B’Wines and many more one offs/experimental. It actually was a lot of fun.
Since Uinta covers so many styles and versions... it really is a must stop. Next... almost anything you drink can be had in a can or bomber to go; lots of fun swag too . Throw in the great people behind the bar and alongside of you... it’s just a great time too. Highly recommended.

Granted, I don't typically visit a lot of breweries, but so far, this is easily my favorite in Utah.

Been here a few times, pretty good food, pool table. Nice when they finally could sell their own higher ABV brews on the premises, but they did not offer everything they made.

Made a stop on my cross country trip and I was a bit concerned about the Mormon laws and drinking, but it all went well and I am glad I stopped here to have a few beers.

Came here while in the area for work. Cool relaxed vibe. Service was slow, but I'll give a slight pass as the bartender seemed to be covering for someone who wasn't there. Selection is about a dozen of their offerings. Loved the $1 samples. Food is pub grub, but enjoyable. I'd come back for sure.

Helpful staff, slightly disinterested and somewhat knowledgable wait staff, solid beers with a few great ones. Bottle shop adjoining is nice.

Although the pub was being renovated, I had a great experience with their selection, food, tour, and apparel.

My only pre-planned stop in SLC when visiting over the summer. I have always been a loyal buyer of Uinta beers. I think when fresh they are among the most consistent and tasty beers for an overall lineup of flagships that there is. I have to admit I also love the artwork on their products. Located in an industrial part of town similar to about 90% of the other breweries I have visited with plenty of parking. The tasting room was spacious with a medium sized bar and tables surrounding that. Merch room and bottles to go also located in the tasting room; a good selection of both. We ended up getting two flights and the beer was priced well and super fresh as it should be at the brewery. Having Wyld that fresh was an eye opening experience. Half of the beers I had before this visit and they were even better from the source. I think we tried 8 samples between the two flights and were very happy with the quality. Food was solid. It was a simple create your own sandwich checklist style menu but very tasty and affordable. I would consider this my favorite stop in SLC and a must visit for any craft fan in the area. After sampling the brews of Utah I now realize why Uinta has such a bigger reach than the rest; just good to great all around.
